The next morning Louis felt even better than the previous day. The sun was shining strongly, its golden rays pelting the October weather beautifully and warming it and birds were chirping happily, before preparing to leave the cold country and depart somewhere hot.
This day was automatically better as he made up with Niall, both apologized to each other and had drawn a tie at shitty things they did. They were even now and Louis was ready to forgive Niall like the blonde did. The Irish boy was generally a very forgiving person, but he has his reasons.
"How come you're going to hang with us today?" Niall asked his friend as they were leaving their dorm building, their footsteps in sync.
"Don't worry, Luke and Ashton are coming with us, too." Louis reassured him. Niall didn't really know the two boys, but he thought they seemed nice.
"Good morning, lads." Louis greeted the two Australian boys when they stumbled over them, earning quick, excited responses. Ashton seemed a little too excited.
He promised him he'll meet Perrie properly today when they'll hang together.
As soon as they started walking, Niall clicked instantly with them. This boy has a glue to people, something Louis will never understand. He hates people.
"Good morning." Louis greeted the others, a mischievous smile cloaked under benevolence present on his face. He glanced at the steps where the group was sitting, excitement stumbling in his brain all over.
Liam was calm today, his previous alarmed temper gone as he greeted Louis back, shooting him a big smile that looked genuine. Louis hoped so, he felt bad for Liam and Zayn. For Harry? Not so much.
"Please, do take a seat." Liam invited them without waiting any more, signaling friendlily at the steps beneath him for the newcomers to sit.
Louis turned to glance at his two friends before signaling to Ashton to take a seat next to Perrie.
"Louis, nice to meet you." He turned around almost at once and shook Perrie's hand who offered him a grin, her dimples popping out on the sides. "Louis, Louis." He continued as he shook the other girls' hands who he learnt to know as Leigh-Anne, Jade and Jesy.
When he finished the formalities, he went up a few steps until he was face to face with Harry, who was laying on his back, his elbows resting on the highest step. His silhouette was relaxed, superior as he stared Louis down, ice present in those forests.
Everyone in the group turned to look at the way Louis challenged Harry, a cold gaze present on his face. Some of them started whispering while others only gave Louis confused glances. Kendall was one step beneath Harry and she couldn't help but throw him a dirty look.
"Do you mind scooting over?" His pink lips were tugged in a smile as he gestured in the air, his head tilting slightly. His caramel hair was highlighted on the sides by the sun, offering it a golden look as he stared innocently at Harry, lighter streams looking on fire in the sunlight.
Harry's jaw clenched at Louis' boldness and his entire body tensed. He looked up at Louis through long eyelashes, shooting daggers into his skin. At first, Louis thought he wouldn't move, so he opened his mouth once again.
Sighing heavily, stopping Louis from continuing, Harry moved a few inches over, leaving his previous spot, that was warmed by his body, empty for Louis. It awaited him like a king.
A few small gasps were heard from behind Louis and it only filled his pride even more, he was full on humiliating Harry. So, he continued. "I mean down a step. You don't mind, do you?" Louis had a voice as sweet as honey as he addressed Harry, innocence radiating from it. He could feel Niall's admiring gaze on him and also Harry's lethal one, mentally skinning him alive.
