I raced out of the guild to see what all the commotion outside was about. I truly do believe short people like me are awesome, but forgive me for being incredibly annoyed when everyone was blocking my view. Finally, I just decided to bulldoze my way to the front, hopefully I won't break my head on anyone's abs, Elfman's in particular. Let's face it, Elfman is now grotesquely muscular, and this is not a compliment. Since, his training and stuff he looks like hulk minus the green skin. Along with more muscles he grew like half a foot or something!!
Fairy Tail wizards grunted and complained as I forcefully pushed my way through. But, my head was uninjured so good for me! I had never seen a creature like that in my entire life. It's entire body was made of plant life. It's wooden spine looked like tree branches would sprout from it. Every bit of its skin and bones was made of hard wood and bark. Leaves and other undergrowth or vegetation covered the creature like an overgrown garden. Four toes on front paws and the hind legs with three. It's huge paws the size of a baby elephant's head, and two wooden horns grew from its head. It's eyes were giant orbs, one was an emerald green with a slitted pupil, the other was dyed black as pitch.
People were screaming and running from this monster. It stood 10 feet high and about 15 feet long. If a tree could become a beast that's what it would look like. It ran everywhere going in no particular place, just running back and forth and in circles. It bumped into things and crashed into walls and buildings, like it was confused. The beast moaned letting out a deep groaning sound, continuing to run rampant.
"What in the flippin' floppin' fudge nuggets is that thing?!" I exclaimed.
Natsu gawked. "WHAT THE HELL! THAT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE!"
Marigold patted his shoulder. "This is Sam, it never makes sense."
"What the heck it that?! It's like a tree- a tree with legs!" Yelped Savannah.
Aria pointed out. "It has eyes and horns too!"
"I don't think that's the important thing right now," Jane told Aria.
Cath asked. "Yeah, but how the heck do we kill that walking vegetable?!"
"I think it would be broccoli, yet it has wood and stuff. So let's stick with tree!" I said.
Lucy interrupted. "Can we get back on topic! There's a giant forest-tree monster in the city!!"
"Lu-chan is right," Levy agreed. "I think I've found out what kind of creature it is."
Gajeel trudged into our conversation. "Let us hear it, shortie."
"I'm curious to know too! Right after I defeat it first! IM FIRED UP!" Natsu announced.
Instantly, he darted towards the beast with a fistful of sizzling flames. He pounded his fiery fist into the head of the leafy giant. It helped out in pain and staggered back. Natsu prepared himself to launch the next attack, when ice suddenly froze at the creature's feet. Gray stood a few yards away from the beast, a trail of the ice leading to him. Natsu slipped on he ice landing on his head and started spinning around. From his puffed cheeks and green complexion you could tell he was getting motion sick. Finally, he somehow managed to slide off the ice without spewing puke all over us. Natsu stomped up to him a clenched hand raised threateningly near his face. Gray had miraculously taken off his pants and shirt while we weren't looking, and was no standing in his boxers. Sigh.... Classic Gray... Doesn't change the fact of how weird and disturbing it is....
"The hell was that Gray!? Stop stealing my thunder! I'm gonna defeat that thing, so stop hogging it!" Natsu hollered.
Gray shot back. "Stealing you're thunder?! Don't get me started on that Fire Freak!!"
