Thou art Beauty

Thy beauty consists of more the eye can perceive,
as light-footed as in the act and the night of a thief,
it slips through the defences of my sanity,
so fair thou art I let go of my insanity

How must I let thee know how deep my love is
For thy smile the reason I keep fighting is
My feelings imprisoned, guarded by me
For I don't know how well received they will be

My heart aches, fearing this story only knows one character
Thy silence cuts deep and thy absence even deeper
A wall I shall thus build for I don't see another option
Thus shall I leave you be, let thee live without my direction

For I don't want to push love to its death
thus I shall not but I will love thee 'til my last breath
