Hyeji and Minho ate in silence, conversing a little about their day. For some reason, neither of them found it so awkward- and Hyeji almost even enjoyed the time.
After finishing their food, they paid and left the cafe.
"Are you going back to the hospital?" Minho asked the girl as they walked down the street. They were now walking by each other's side, with no real destination.
Hyeji hummed before looking at Minho. "I think I'll go home now, Chan would go soon so" The girl shrugged and Minho nodded.
"Do you mind if I walk you there?" Minho asked, making Hyeji raise a brow.
"Do you even know where it is?" The girl asked in a teasing voice and Minho shook his head with a small chuckle.
"I mean, is it okay if I accompany you?" Minho asked. Hyeji blinked as she considered it. Does she really want Minho to know where she lived? He was her brother's bully after all... but then again, he 'was'.
Hyeji shrugged. "I mean yeah I'm okay with it," She said. Minho smiled at the girl as he walked beside her. They reached Hyeji's house after a not-so-short walk.
The girl stopped at her porch and turned around to Minho.
"Well, This is my house," Hyeji said, opening her arms a little. Minho nodded as he looked around.
"Looks cozy," The male said and Hyeji nodded. The house indeed gave a cozy-modern vibe.
As they were in midsentence, Hyeji noticed a car park right in front of the house, on the street. Minho too followed her gaze and saw the car.
They then turned back to the house, when the main door opened and a certain curly blonde who they knew walked out.
The male closed the door after he walked out, tossing his backpack over his shoulders and looking ahead, seeing Hyeji and Minho.
"Min?" Chan questioned as he saw Minho. His body slightly tensed up seeing the boy. Although they were friends, it troubled him to see the boy in his crush's home. But then he realized Hyeji was there- feeling a little relieved.
"Oh hey, Chan" Minho gave him a short wave. The blonde nodded before making his way to Hyeji. He questioned with his eyes Hyeji understood.
"I'm here. Don't worry" Hyeji whispered a little. Chan then nodded, smiling at Hyeji and Minho before walking over to the car parked on the road.
They watched Chan open the door and got into he seat next to the driver's seat. Hyeji narrowed her eyes as she got a slight glimpse of the driver. He looked like someone she had seen before, but since she didn't see his face, she didn't know who it was.
Minho let out a small cough, getting the girl's attention. "Well- Uhm- I'll go now," The male said, rubbing the back of his neck. Hyeji blinked at him. Why was he acting awkward all of a sudden?
Hyeji nodded with a half smile. "Yeah, see you tomorrow?" The girl asked, extending her hand to him. Minho looked at her hand and then back at her. Her dark eyes sparkled ever so slightly and he smiled back, taking her hand and shaking it.
Hyeji felt a slight tingle at his touch. His hand felt soft and warm. Minho too felt the same toward the girl's hand. It felt comforting to hold it, and something in him didn't want to let go. But Hyeji pulled her hand away a few seconds after, and Minho internally pouted.
"Bye," The male said before turning around and walking into the street again. He kept his hands in the pockets of his jeans- unable to find the warmth that lingered on his hand with Hyeji's touch.
Hyeji watched as Minho walked away before turning to the door. She then opened it, walked in, and was immediately engulfed in a hug by a happy Jeongin.
"Woah!? what happened?" The older asked surprised, chuckling right after.
