train ride

Harry's pov

Me and hazel entered the train and found a empty compartment.

A few minutes After we sat down a red-headed child from before opens the compartment door and asked if he could sit with us. 'Yeah sure!' I said

'I'm Ron by the way. Ron Weasley!' He responded.

'Cool. I'm harry. Harry Potter.' I showed him my scar which he was very impressed of. 'Wow!' Ron turned to hazel and said 'and you? What's your name?' He smiled

'Oh..Uh..my names hazel. Hazel potter.' Hazel answered.

She showed him her scar and went back to reading her book '101 ways to do magic'

Ron's pov

After I had asked the girl what her name was,I pulled out my pet rat scabbers from my coat pocket. 'This is scabbers! Useless isn't he? He was my brother percy's rat. But then they got him and owl and I got scabbers..'

'Cool' harry said sounding kinda bored

'My brother Fred taught me a spell to turn him yellow. Want to see?' I asked

'Sure!' Harry said scooting forward in his seat for a better view.

'Sunshine daisies butt-'

Suddenly the compartment door slid open and a girl with Bushey brown hair stood by the entrance.

'Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named neville has lost one.' She said in a posh tone. 'Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see then.'

'Uh...ok?....sunshine daisies buttermellow yellow. Turn this stupid fat rat yellow!' Unfortunately I didn't work which gave the bushy hair girl another chance to boast at us.

'Are you sure that's a real spell?...Well it's not a very good one is it?' She walked into our compartment and sat opposite harry next to hazel. 'Of course I've only tried a few simple ones myself, for example. Occlus repario' she pointed her wand at Harry's face and mended his glasses. Then, she stood up closed the compartment door and went back to wherever she came from.

After a while I had made friends with harry and hazel.

Suddenly the compartment door slid open and a lady with a trolley full of sweets stopped by us. 'Anything of the trolly dears?' She asked
'No thanks I'm all set' I said holding up a bag of squished sandwiches and putting them down in my lap.

'WE'LL TAKE THE LOT!' Shouted harry
'Harry!' Hazel scolded
'What?' Harry said clearly confused
'What about the other people they might want some to!'
'They'll be fine.'

Hazel's pov

Ron and Harry we happily munching on their newly bought sweets from the trolley lady when suddenly the train stopped moving.

'Huh? Oh,we must be there already! That was quick for a six hour journey!' I said

'Finally!' Harry moaned
'Speak for yourself hazel that took FOREVER!' Ron sighed.

As we got of the train we walked towards hagrid who was yelling 'Firs yers, firs yers, over ere!'

Me, Ron and Harry got into a boat and started sailing towards the hogwarts castle.

When we got to the castle an old lady took us up many flights of stairs and stopped at two large doors. 'The storting ceremony will begin momentarily. Once you enter you will be called forward one by one and have the sorting hat place you in one of the following houses. They are Griffindor, Slytherin, Huffelpuff or Ravenclaw.' The old woman entered through the doors and left us all standing there without a clue what we were doing.

'So it's true then. Harry and hazel potter have come to hogwarts.' A voice echoed through the hall. I looked around and saw a pale boy with blonde slick back hair standing in front of us. 'My names malfoy. Draco malfoy.' I heard Ron snickers and I elbowed him in the ribs.
'Think my names funny do you? No need to ask yours! Red hair? And a hand-me-down robe? YOU must be s Weasley' Ron looked down at his feet embarrassed as malfoy turned his attention back to me and Harry.

'You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are BETTER than others. I can help you there' He extended his hand out to harry. Harry looked up at malfoy and said 'I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks.'
'Harry, Don't be rude!' I grabbed malfoys hand and shook it,smiling at him and he smiled back just as the old lady from before appeared again. 'Were ready for you now!' She announced.
