Lee's POV

My hands clutch against the stirring wheel but to no avail. The car slides and gets out of my control. I hit my head against the window and still try to stop my car from going over the curb.

Sometimes we think we see life flash in front of us. However, as I feel I may get severely injured, all I hear is my brother telling me to be careful. If I don’t die, Seok-Jin will probably kill me from driving so fast in this weather.

I hit against the headrest and my head whiplashes to the front. My nose bumps against the stirring wheel and for a few seconds everything turns black. No pain. No nausea. Nothing but pure void of blackness, while blood drips from my nose to my mouth. Then I hear a voice. A man yells outside of my car. I blink away and try to remain conscious. If I were human, this shit would have killed me. Nothing focuses properly and I know I broke my nose in the process. I lift my hand and when I touch it hurts. Biting on my lower lip, the first thing I do is put the bone back in place so it heals right. If I don’t do it now, it will heal wrong and then Kook will have to help me break my nose again, so we fix it. I wince and feel the click of the bone sliding into place. My vision, however, is still blurred in the corners and when I try to inhale, my ribcage complains.

Great. I have a few ribs broken as well. I also lost all sense of smell when I broke my damn nose. When I try to take a deep breath, it hurts and I smell nothing. This should be a fun couple of hours.

“Ouch,” I mumble, putting my hand on my forehead when I try to sit straight.

It comes out sticky, and it takes me longer than I am willing to admit to realize its blood coming from the top of my head.

Someone mutters a curse word and I glance out the passenger window. “Don’t move,” the man says, running around the car.

I narrow my eyes but can’t see past the shape of someone in a grey long coat leaning over. Plus, dark hair. Really dark hair. He opens the door and I frown. How did he do that? Did the car unlock itself when I crashed?

“You hit your head?” The man asks, crouching next to me.

A voice as smooth as the most expensive fabric comes to me. He puts his fingers against my forehead and pulls them right away, but his cold touch still lingers. Is he not wearing gloves? In this weather? Unless he is a Hunter, or a werewolf, it makes no fucking sense.

“I did. It’s fine tho.”

“It’s fine?” He scoffs, tilting my face back and slightly turning it, looking for something. “You are bleeding and I can’t find the wound where it’s coming from. What do you mean, it’s fine?”

I narrow my eyes again and his features become a little clearer. Brown eyes watch me and cupid shaped lips press together. Definitely not a hunter. Our eyes are not as dark. Most hunters from this city and even a few of the woman born into hunter families go as far as having red streaks in their eyes. The rest have light colors. Seok-Jin and mine are silvers and match our hairs. A hint of whom we descend from. It helps to show the rest of the Legion who is among them.
