The Summer to my Fall

Anthony's POV

I for heaven's sake couldn't take my eyes off of the boy, "Kai!", Ian exclaimed making me glance at him just as he looks at me, "Anthony, this is Kai, my baby brother, remember?", Ian asked making me take a look at the boy yet again. Kai. When did he turn this sinfully beautiful?

Ian walked into the room, "Stupid Ray bailed last minute. Called us for nothing...", he huffed as he joined Kai's side. I just ignored him as I stared back at Kai. His black hair was a beautiful mess of curls, those bangs hiding his dark eyes underneath. His face was just so perfect and small, milky white skin now just flushed in the prettiest pink. He was tiny and fragile and so soft like cotton candy. He was wearing a colorful pastel patterned sweater that was cutely long wrapping his entire palm underneath. He was wearing a pair of long dark pants and cute white sneakers just barely being shown underneath those pants. I smiled subconsciously unable to contain my amazement, "You are smiling like a fool", I heard Ian's voice louder making me look at him. 

He was eyeing me and Kai rather confused but with that irky smirk I'm quite familiar with, "I was just helping Kai", I replied and walked past him to grab the book Kai had been trying to get, "I was told you were here which is quite an occasion so I came to find you but found him instead", I slowly walked up to Kai who shyly slings beside Ian making me smile, "Here", I lend the book to him with my voice going softer automatically for him.

He finally met my eyes again biting his lip gently as he took the book and whispered a thank you; my heart just stopped the minute I heard his mellow angelic voice, "I have never heard you speak so gently", Ian commented cockily as I gave him a hard shove making him stumble back and laugh. He relaxingly hung his arms over his brother, "Bun-bun, do you want to go now? I don't know about you, but I'm super hungry! For desserts that is! Let's get some pastries and ice cream maybe?", Ian proposed making Kai smile at him, "Desserts? Okay", he replied and gave me a quick shy glance.

Ian turned to look at me, "Do you want to come with us Anthony?", he asked me with a smirk, "Huh?", Kai exclaimed surprised, and looked frantically between him and me before resorting to looking back at his shoes while subtly whispering something to Ian, "Don't worry about that, we can take him undercover, besides, his bodyguards will come too. And there is this cute secluded café which we go to because of him. So we are fine", Ian told Kai and they both looked at me, "You coming?", Ian offered yet again.

I nodded somewhat enthusiastically, "Yes, I'm hungry and I could do some pastries", I replied, "If you don't mind me tagging along Kai?", my voice went softer yet again.

Kai met my eyes and shyly smiled nodding his head, "I don't mind...", he almost whispered making me smile wider, "Let's get moving then!", Ian chimed in and pulled Kai along as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder dragging us out of his office, "Why don't you take Anthony to our car Kai?", Ian asked not waiting for Kai to reply as he turned to me, "You can tell your bodyguards to drive your car directly to the café. I'll just lock up the office and check if Tripp or Harley is free to join", he said quickly running off after locking his office.

Kai was left undoubtedly stunned but I had to give him time to let himself be comfortable around me. If Kai wasn't Ian's brother, I'd assume Ian left us in this situation purposefully but since that's not the case, I couldn't help but feel confused and maybe even stunned.

"Shall we go?", I asked softly to Kai making him look up at me, and yet again, his doe cute eyes had my heart racing, "Yes, sorry!", he whispered and lead the way as I closely walked by his side exiting the office, "Ian was telling me you were back... do you like it better here or...?", I asked finally when I felt Kai was feeling less anxious.

He glanced at me as we walked and gave a slight nod, "I do... It was nice there, but I missed hyeong and nuna way too much. So I'm happy to be back...", he replied. Hyeong and nuna... even the way he speaks is so angelic. Oh my god! He is my best friend's brother! Get it together Anthony!
