Kai's POV

We all chuckled as Clay kept calling Ian 'Mama bear'. If Clay hadn't fallen in love with the toy, then we can at least be sure he had fallen in love with Ian. Ian had always been good with kids. He has this charismatic personality and joyful attitude that could make anyone melt in love. He always brings a smile to anyone's face may it be uptight bodyguards or a curious little toddler.

I grew up being cherished by his love. He loves making people smile and will go above and beyond to share his love. It is almost as if he is burdened with way too much love and will never stop spreading that love around. No wonder he is what keeps us siblings together. I am way too reserved and shy and our sister is way too uptight and strict. He is the middle ground helping us stay grounded when we stray too far.

Ian excitedly played with Clay making the boy giggle himself tired, "Doesn't he play outside a lot?", Ian asked Millie as he hugged Clay closer who was playing comfortably on his lap, "He doesn't yes. You see, he doesn't have a mother, so his father is overprotective", Millie smiled sadly making us glance at Clay, "His mother died while giving birth. So you can see how it is..."

Clay just played happily with his toys as we all grow silent for a minute, "His dad loved his mom so dearly, and losing her was a big toll on both him and Clay. My mom and I have been his nannies since his first days. His dad loves and spoils him a lot but he is overprotective. He really doesn't want Clay to miss out on a mother's love so he does all he could. And having lost someone he loved, he is probably more paranoid with Clay. But since he is still hurting over Clay's mother's passing, he has always stayed drowned in work. Maybe he is still fighting to get through".

Ian hugged Clay closer, "I understand. It must be really hard on him. Having a son to care for all by himself. But it's good Clay has you. And James and Vee too. He is such a curious angel", Ian cooed at Clay who hugged Ian, "Mama bear!", he exclaimed, "We have never seen Clay get along like this with any adult apart from his family. It is shocking but also not really. You have such a warm personality!", Millie pointed out. Ian smiled at that, "That's because Clay is such a sweet smart baby bear, right Clay?", he asked making Clay nod his head happily, "Yes! I am a good baby bear!", he praised himself making us laugh again.

Just then, a call interrupted. It was Ian's phone. He gestured for me to pick it up from his buckle bag. I took his phone out, "It is Mitchell", I replied after seeing the caller id.

Ian gasped, "Oh heck! We needed to meet with the manager today", he exclaims asking me for his phone back which I lent, "Tripp, I'll be there by 5 give or take. Need to drop off Kai at home, alright? See you!", Ian replied quickly ending the call, "Sorry Millie, but I have work", he apologetically looks at Millie and then at Clay, "Clay baby bear, sorry honey, but I need to go".

Clay began to turn sad, "Don't worry Clay, we can meet Ian some other time, alright?", Millie tried to console the boy as he looked back at Ian, "Promise?", he asked. Ian smiled and gave Clay's palm a sweet kiss, "Promise!", he replied reassuring the boy. Clay smiled again and hugged Ian as Millie got up and takes back Clay. We all got up to leave just as Ian and Millie exchanged contact information, "Okay then, we need to go", Ian smiled, "It was amazing meeting you albeit the circumstances hopefully never repeat! Millie and Clay, take care and James and Vee, you both as well!", he added with a smile.

I smile at them, "Yes, it was nice meeting you! Bye Clay!", I waved at him as he smiled wide and waved at me, "Bye Kai-Kai!", he showed off his toothy smile turning to Ian, "Bye mama bear!", he added. "Likewise! hope to see you two soon!", Millie replied, "Take care", Vee replied and James gave a smile, "See you soon".

We waved them bye and quickly left the café and were soon settled in our car, "Kai, it is still 4. I need to go to the set and just have a small meeting with the manager. I don't need that much time. I kind of don't want to take a detour, the traffic has begun. Do you just want to come with me to the office? We can leave when I'm done and head home after grabbing something to eat on the way. What say?", Ian asked as he waited to start the car.
