she wants to tell you a joke

you are sitting on the couch, scrolling through tiktok when you hear your girlfriend yell "hey babyyy" she runs towards the couch and almost trips because of how much she's laughing. she didn't even give you time to answer. "i need to tell you something." and she giggles mysteriously.

"i'm desperate to hear, jenna" you say putting you phone away and turning around to face her. "okay so-" she tried starting her sentence, but burst out in laughter before she could continue. it made you happy seeing her like that, her laugh is adorable. "heyy why are you laughing so hard, i wanna know what's so funnyyy" you said interested in what she wanted to tell you. she finally caught herself a little when tried to continue "okay, a-at what time-" but she laughed so hard you wondered how she even breathed anymore.

"okay i've got this, this time i'll be serious." she said hyping herself up and tried to start again. "at what time do you go to the dentist??" she finally said the whole sentence, but she was clearly struggling not to burst out in laughter again so she covers her mouth with her hand and looks at you expectantly, waiting for your answer.

you have just been sitting there, listening to her as you recognize the joke. you know the answer but you don't wanna ruin it for your girlfriend so you act all clueless. "i don't know jenna, at what time do i go to the dentist?" you said waiting for her to reveal the answer. "AT TOOTH-HURTY HAHAHAHA, YOU GET IT???" the laugh she's been holding in for so long finally leaves her lips and now she couldn't stop. it was so wholesome to you. she looked so happy and cute so you just decided to laugh along with her to make her feel good.

"OMG HAHAHA NO WAYYY" you say trying to look surprised. "I KNOW RIGHT, I SAW IT ON TIKTOK EARLIER AND I JUST HAD TO TELL YOU" you pulled her into a hug and put your arms around her waist. she giggled into your shoulder and you smelled her hair. it was sweet, your favorite shampoo. "yeah it really is funny, thanks for telling me babe" you say as pulled away to talk to her. "sure, no problem honey. hey wanna go out and eat dinner? i'm really hungry."  "yes please i'm starving!! let me just get ready real quick, i'll be back in 1o mins" you say giving her a sweet kiss and getting up the couch, leaving your girlfriend there. "okayyy i love you" she quickly says before you're out of the door. "i love you too."
