Officer Hartman's POV
"So, where are we even going?" I ask Dimitri keeping my eyes on the road.
"Randall said that we should all meet up at somewhere he says that he thinks it's safe, just follow the other officers and we'll get there." Dimitri said wincing.
"What about you? You look like you've lost a lot of blood..." I said giving him a short glance seeing that he looks a bit tired.
"I'll be fine, I have an EMT bag sitting in the trunk of the car, when we get there, you can patch my shoulder up." He says smiling.
"I don't think we can wait any longer, you're bleeding pretty bad." I said shaking my head.
"Look, man. I've been through shit that's a lot worse than this, you don't got to worry about me. I'm a lot more tough than you think I am." He reassured me.
I frantically looked at the wing mirror trying to see if the PFR decided to follow us, Dimitri caught my anxiousness. "They aren't coming for us, not in public at least." He said. "It would seem weird for the public to wonder why the PFR are after a couple of cops."
I gripped onto the steering wheel tightly trying to calm down as I took a few moments to relax. As I was calmed down, I adjusted the rear view mirror to see what the human kid in the back was up to. He was looking down rubbing his bruised arm and his legs were barely hanging off the seat.
"They don't even have seatbelts in the back of this car?" I ask Dimitri.
"The rear seat is safer than the front." Dimitri shrugged.
"How exactly? What if we got in an accident? What do you think is gonna happen if the human gets hurt?" I ask starting to get anxious again.
"The only cause that an accident can happen is you, make sure that you're driving correctly and we'll all be fine." Dimitri said.
I nodded as I kept my eyes on the road frequently glancing at the rear view mirror.
I saw the kid move up to the window and look through it watching cars and buildings. I didn't know much about him, so I wanted to get to know him a little.
"So, uh..." I awkwardly asked. "What's your name, bud?"
I see the boy turned his head to me looking at me, he didn't even answer me, he just stared at me and then went back to looking out the window.
I assumed he needed time to get used to talking to anthros so I just waited for him to respond."Evan..." The boy responded for the first time.
I nodded glancing at the rear view mirror. "Last name?" I ask Evan.
He shakes his head not bothering to look at me, he was too focused on what was going on outside.
"I don't know..." He sadly said."Hartman, the kid must be an orphan." Dimitri leaned close to me and whispered.
I nodded as I continue driving staying in line with the other police vehicles.
"So, Evan, do you have any par-"
"Dimitri, don't you dare." I glare at him.
