Two weeks later, as I lay in my hospital bed watching TV, breaking news interrupts the station.
I begin to sob uncontrollably when the news header says "Car Bomber In Federal Prison".
A nurse rushes into my rooms and asks me if everything is okay.
As I roll over crying holding to the bed rail, she takes a glace at the TV and suddenly comforts me.
He kept his promise...the FBI found the man that did this to me...and to the other poor women that are laying in caskets.
The doctor comes in to give me my meds but that doesn't stop my uncontrollable sobs.
"Miss, do you need anything."
I shake my head and change the subject.
"Yes, I have closure and so do the others, but that doesn't give the other women their lives back or put my legs back together now does it?"
"Miss, everything happens for a reason, and you're lucky to be alive. Its a miracle if you ask me."
My nurse brings me water so to be nice I wipe my eyes and take a sip.
"Honestly, I wish I were dead."
