He wiped her arm with a sterile cloth to keep the injection site clean and stuck the needle into Chloe's arm. An odd wooziness came over her and, though she was laying down, she was overcome with vertigo. Dr. Applin undid the straps around Chloe and helped her stand. "Now I'm legally required to bind your hands," he explained as he closed a pair of cuffs around her wrists. She didn't protest, her vision was blurred and everything she heard was distorted and stretched. Her legs felt like they might collapse any minute but they held surprisingly strong.

She hardly noticed the doctor leading her down a long hallway. He opened a heavy door and walked her inside. He eased her onto the ground. Once she was on the ground, he unlatched the cuffs. She sat with her head in her hands, a terrible headache had sprung up as they walked. "Good night, Daisy," she heard before the door closed and the latch clicked.

After a little bit, the headache subsided, and with it the distortion of the world around her. As she gazed around the room she saw what it was. There were bare wooden walls and straw covering the floor. It was a far cry from the hospital room she had been in. There was something, like a wire basket, hanging from the wall and it looked like it was filled with... hay. A long trough full of water sat to its right. It looked like a horse or cow stall. As she began to explore she realized just how little she was wearing. It was a skimpy little bikini with a cow print. Someone, maybe the doctor, had gotten rid of the hospital gown when she'd been so dazed. She also noticed that her bladder was screaming at her, she needed to go to the bathroom so badly. There was no bathroom in sight... then again no one was around. She stood and walked to the corner of the stall and relieved herself right into the straw on the floor. She walked to the other side of the stall and lay down, hoping to get some rest. She was almost fully asleep when she felt a sharp pain in her lower back. Her head began to pound again. Nothing happened for quite some time and she was almost asleep again when she felt the sharp pain in her back again. Something was changing, Chloe could feel it. The pain in her lower back continued, only to be joined by a terrible headache and her breasts becoming increasingly sensitive. She tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position, but it was impossible. Finally, she stood up or at least tried to. She felt off balance and wobbly, awkward. She flung her arms wildly, trying not to fall over, before turning and placing her palms on the wall, steadying herself. As she stood there, taking steadying breaths, she couldn't help but look at her hands. As she looked, her nails began to change color. Brown slowly began bleeding into her nails. She always kept a natural shade. "What's happening to me?!" she asked in a panic-stricken voice.

She took a step back from the wall as she kept looking at her nails, but as soon as she was away from the wall she felt immediately off-balance again. She fell backward onto the ground. She yelped painfully as she landed on something that was protruding from her lower back. She glanced back and was horrified to discover the beginning of a tail there. "What is going on here?!" she yelled.

A voice sounded throughout the room, startling her, from a hidden speaker, "Hello Daisy. Heifer number 7. The transformation process will begin tonight. Tomorrow, you will be tagged, micro-chipped, and branded. A second injection will follow these procedures, nearly completing your transformation. The next day, a final injection will be given, and you will be evaluated for breeding and milking. Have a nice day!"

Chloe's mouth hung open. Transformation? Branded? Milking? Breeding? Just then she winced, a sharp pain in her ear. She reached a hand up and... where her ear had been, growing out of the side of her head was... a cow's ear. Then her feet began to tingle as well. She sobbed as she looked down and saw her feet melting into hooves. Chloe rolled onto her side in the rough hay and sobbed. She cried herself to sleep. The next morning she awoke to the sharp crack of a switch on her back. She cried out in pain and tried to jump, but to no avail. She fell right over, her hooves couldn't support her awkward weight. She scooted as far away from the two men she saw as she could. It was the doctor and a burly man that she didn't recognize. "Look Daisy," Dr. Applin said sympathetically. "I know this is strange and scary, but please don't make this harder than it needs to be. My partner Chad here will have to use more painful methods than just a halter on you if you don't cooperate."

"What did you do to me you psycho!" she was cut off from saying more with another lash of the switch.
