(I take commissions)
It was the night of Halloween, and you were a parent minding their own business. Your son had been persistent on going out to trick or treat by himself that year since he was old enough to, so you agreed to it as long as he was with a group. Thankfully he managed to gather his friends together and go trick or treating together, which included some kids and some kids a bit older than him so it seemed alright. As long as he was in a big and safe group with people he could get along with were there, then it would be ok.
You sat inside the living room while eating a bowl of candy, watching some Halloween themed horror movies to pass time, your phone resting right next to you and ready to pick it up if there were a notification. About what went down during trick or treating or some important news.
As you sat and munched on the candy, there was a noise that sounded like a pair of footsteps. Looking back, there was nothing there so you shrugged it off and went back to watching the movie, assuming it was some audio from it to cause people to freak out. Yet, every time something in the movie got loud there were footsteps, and when it stopped would be when there was quiet moments. The hair on your body stood as you crept checking behind you ever so often, yet you never saw anything. But as soon as you heard something clatter from the kitchen, you knew it was no longer the movie. You grabbed your phone and turned it on, ready to dial 911 while you glanced around for a weapon, soon settling on a lamp. Quietly like a mouse, you crept towards the kitchen with the lamp ready to attack while the movie covered up and tiny noise you made that could be heard when there was only silence. Once you made it to the kitchen, you slid your hand to the light switch since the look of dim moonlight and distant street lamps wasn't enough to light the room.
In the blind of an eye, the switch clicked as light flashed the room and made you squint a bit before you quickly widened your eyes in shock. This red demon looking motherfucker was eating all your spaghetti leftovers!!!
"Hey, get the fuck away from my spaghetti!" You'd yell out, ready to hit this guy with your lamp as he retreated from you, dropping the leftovers on the counter as you threatened your lamp towards him. "Why the hell are you in here eating my spaghetti?!"
"I was uh...hungry?" A deep country accent left his mouth, making you almost drop the lamp from not expecting this. "Look, I've been unsuccessful with gettin' 'food' lately and you left your back door unlocked. So I came in to take your spaghetti. Nothin' else."
You were flabbergasted by his response, but sighed and set the lamp and phone on a nearby counter.
"Give me a good excuse on why i shouldn't turn you into the police tight now."
"Well...I haven't killed you yet and I haven't stolen anything...except for the spaghetti."
"...Good point." Silence filled between the two of you until you took the spaghetti leftovers and threw them into the microwave. "Learn to heat up foods."You and the demon man, who was named Bob, sat on the couch and watched movies together as you both ate leftover spaghetti together, the candy bowl sitting between you two to leave some space between you two and also cause you found that he was also a fellow candy lover.
When your son came home, he was utterly confused on why a grown fat man with a demon face sat on the couch but he didn't care to ask as he knew his parent was the weirdest person to ever exist and just went to bed upstairs. After eating all the spaghetti, Bob stole hand of your bowl of candy and shoved it inside his pockets, but you didn't care too much since he seemed to be friendly and totally not a deranged psychopath.
the end.
