that night you were lying in bed debating if you should text xavier. you were so scared of what all your friends at your new school would think one you were dating an outcast. but he was so kind and charming, nothing like what you were told he would be like. so you went to your messages app and entered the phone number he has slipped you earlier today.

hey, it's y/n from the coffee shop

you really didn't expect him to text back until the morning considering it was 1:00 a.m. but sure enough, as soon as you say your phone down a notification popped up.

i was starting to thing you weren't gonna text :(

no it's just been a long day lol

would you want to facetime and talk about it?

your heart dropped to your feet. why were you nervous? it's not that big of a deal.

after a few minutes the facetime notification popped up and you clicked answer after a few ring so you wouldn't seem too desperate. his video popped up and his long, brown hair was damp and he was in a navy blue shirt. god he was so pretty. you guys stayed in facetime for hours until you glanced at the time

"oh my gosh, it's 5:00 a.m." you said shocked.

"man, i have to get up in like 2 hours." he replied.

"well, i really enjoyed talking to you." you said.

"yeah, me too. would you maybe wanna go grab dinner or something this weekend? i would love to talk with you more." he asked with a cheeky smile.

"of course!" you replied.

"okay now go to bed" he said in fake stern tone.

"you too." you giggled.

and with that you guys hung up and you fell asleep dreaming of your date with xavier.

[time skip]

you were at school eating lunch and you decided to tell your friends about xavier.

"guess what! i met a guy and we are going on a date this weekend!" you said excitedly to your friend makenna.

"no way! i need all the details!" she replied.

"okay so i was working and he came in to get coffee and he slipped his number in a $20 tip." you explained.

"$20 tip?! girl he's rich." makenna said plainly.

"no, i think he was just trying to impress me." you laughed.

"okay what's his name, where does he go to school?" she asked.

"his name is xavier thorpe and he goes to nevermore." you replied.

"no that kid is insane!" she said.

"wait, why? do you know him?" you asked frantically.

"no, but i know he goes to nevermore, and that's where all the freaks go."

as soon as she said that you stood and walked away. you hated how all the kids judged all the nevermore students just because they have special abilities. it was so stupid.

you just could wait to talk to xavier again and maybe meet some of his friends from nevermore. maybe than you would have some real friends.
