Sachi's POV
Suddenly our eyes locked with each other. And I don't know how long we were looking into each other's eyes. Suddenly Samaira's voice came and our eye contact broke.
Samaira said from downstairs "Bhai bhabhi don't you guys want to eat today?"
"Coming" I replied looking everywhere except him. I got up from the bed and was about to leave.
When he said "What were you saying when I was in the bathroom?"
His voice is calm "whykushcalledyoudad" I was still thinking about Kush's words and replied him without turning and then realization hit me. I turned and he was looking at me with annoying face. I put my hand on mouth and scolded myself in my mind.
"The heck can't you speak like humans" he was totally pissed.
"Nothing" I said in whisper and went downstairs scolding myself. Whenever I talked to him I used to always stutter and then I started whispering and now I started talking in inhuman speed. Wow loss of words for you Sachi. Thinking this I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen. I told all the workers to take all the food on dining table.
I called everyone to eat and started serving everyone's plate. In that time, everyone came and sat on the dining table and started eating when Samastha asked "Sachi why are you not eating with us?" I was expecting this question but not from Samastha. I was expecting this from Sanjh but he is my unbothered king. Before I answer anything, Maa answered her saying "She will eat later Samastha."
"Yeah I will eat later" I said with smile.
After lunch I started picking up the plates. Samastha stopped seeing me and came to me to help but after picking two plates we heard the sound of crying, it was Kush. I smiled and said "Samastha go I will manage. Kush needs you" she just nodded sadly and left.
I quickly picked up the things from table and carried them into kitchen as I served my plate, took it and sat down to eat at dining table. I felt very strange eating alone but from the day I got married in this house I have always eaten alone. Sometimes I miss my home a lot. Even if I don't like or don't want to do some things, I have to do them because Maa always put the responsibilities of Badi bahu (eldest daughter-in-law) on me.
When I was eating Samastha and Kush sat on the dining table with me. Kush was smiling looking at me so I just pat his head with my left hand.
Samastha asked breaking the silence "Are you thinking that where my husband is?"
"No no Samastha I just don't like eating alone" I said looking down and eating my food.
"I can see that. That's why I came here to give you company." She said smiling.
"Thank you so much." I said looking at her with teary eyes.
"Hey don't cry. I won't take your husband I have my own and he is more handsome than Sanjh" she said laughing. I also laughed with her.
"You're funny Samastha. I don't know why girls used to hate you in college" I said laughing. The moment I realized what I just said, I closed my mouth with my left hand and my eyes went big looking at her.
"How do you know about my college and all?" Samastha asked with curiosity.
I don't want to tell her about myself but I don't think I have another option so I said "I was also in your college, your junior, maybe you don't know me. But yeah don't tell this to anyone this is our secret please" I completed with joining my both hands together.
"Okey, so now we also have secret," Samastha said excitedly. I just smiled and she continued "Wait what was your full name means before marriage?"
"Sachi Kashyap why" I asked her with confusion.
