{The Beginning}

It all happened at once. First the screams and then the fire. The commotion of civilians rushing around to safety. The place I called home now turned into ruins. The buildings destroyed and the rivers dried up. The world once alive and beautiful now nothing but a dried-up waste land.

"You need to leave" a frantic voice bellowed, but everything was a blur. All the debris and smoke invaded everything making is difficult to know of my location "Get out here, you need to leave now" two large hands on my shoulders shook me out of my daze. "Only one ship has survived the attack, small enough for one, you need to take it and evacuate the planet now! Go!" He gave me no time to respond, being dragged to me feet and shoved harshly in the direction of the remaining ship, my get away.

Finding the ship, I hesitantly opened the hatch and hauled myself into the seat closing the top and switching it on. It hovered above my broken home, seeing the remaining people dashing into the now on fire trees. My stomach turned as I flew away from the planet and into space for the first time. I wasn't prepared to leave my home and all the people behind, when they could need me and all I could do was leave them to their fate.

I didn't know where I was heading or how to actually fly the contraption, I was in. My father had showed me once or twice in case of emergencies like now, but I never thought I'd need to know. I sent the ship into hyper space and hoped that wherever I came out would lead myself to a friendly planet.

As fate would have it the planet, I would be arriving at was not friendly or beautiful like my home was. Instead, it would lead me to slavery for 5 years. Fighting every day to get a measly plate of food. I'd win almost every fight due to my advantage with my powers, but being with little food or my strength, it was often a difficulty to use much of it.

I'd given up long ago with the idea of escaping, this had become my life now and I had accepted it. My family and all the people at home were gone and even if they weren't they wouldn't find me here. Only a miracle could save me now...
