The Holy War

A great distance from the Grace kingdom, in the heart of the Fiore Kingdom, lies the headquarters for the Church. Fiore is a average sized kingdom compared to its counter parts and doesn't have much of a connection to the sea. This renders the kingdom more or less surrounded by other nations. Reeling in their utter and absolute defeat at the hands of Moroha, the 2 female holy knights Xenovia and Irina make their way to the citadel to report their findings. When they awoke from their defeat in a inn a month ago, they found they had no wounds, notable curses or possessions stolen. They were completely unharmed, an assessment that left them disoriented and unhinged. They questioned if Moroha really was a demon, or just a powerful monster who didn't bother with causing harm to them. This was mostly Irina's thought process. Xenovia however had slightly different emotions. The journey from the Grace kingdom to the Fiore kingdom was a long. During the journey Xenovia, constantly got lost in thought reflecting on what she experienced with Moroha. Slowly but surely, she questioned her beliefs.

In Moroha's memories, she saw beings that did indeed look divine. What he was saying was that the universe isn't ruled by a omnipotent being of light and tainted by demons, instead, the universe is governed by 2 equal and dependent forces. A god of light and creation, a supreme Kai. Their counterpart, a god of darkness and destruction, a Destroyer. Even among gods, there is a hierarchy to help maintain balance. A sentiment that was relatable but too outrageous to believe. Xenovia would disregard it, labling it rubbish, only fot her mind to then be occupied by images of her worlds wrong doings. Memories of now freed slaves Moroha claimed. In the memories, she notices something odd. Although understandable, she notices that in some of the memories, there are villages of demi-humans being raided and pillaged by soldiers. Soldiers from the kingdoms of Jioral, Falmuth and Sol Augustus empire. This in it's self wasn't a big deal, the problem however was that in some of the images, holy knights, her brothers in arms participated in these raids. They would toss aside their holy cloaks and join the soldiers in their debauchery with the female demi-humans, therefor sinning. Xenovia's belief in her teachings would lead her to brush aside Moroha's "Lies, trickery and illusions". Little did she know, Moroha had taken pity on her.

After a tedious and hasting journey, the 2 finally reach the citadel, a giant quartz-built structure that stood as high as a castle. They walk in and are met with bows from nuns. The 2 begin to walk around and are met with a familiar smile.

"Welcome back Xenovia"

"Griselda!"

The 2 state in rejoice

"Its nice to see you again Irina, I trust you have been taking care of Xenovia"

"It's nice to you again too mam, and Xenoiva has been an awesome partner, tho he could stand to be a little less serious all the time

"Wish I could say the same, you could stand to be a little more serious when we're on our missions"Xenovia mutters.

The group make their way to a waiting room to discuss the duo's discovery.

"So...you had something urgent to report in regard to the village in the Grace Kingdom"

"yes. We entered the village and surveyed the people during the day. The population consisted mostly of former slaves, human and demi-human."

"Former?"

"yeah, it was crazy. Apparently they were buying slaves and setting them free."

"Yes, that's strange indeed"

"Yes, but that's not even the worst of it"

"as I was saying...The village seemed to gain a lot of profit from the crops they grew. Somehow, they were able to grow the crops to twice the normal size. The buildings were simple but out of place for a poor village that spawned into existence overnight. Once night came and we didn't see anything usual, we decided to ask and meet the leader of the village. It was woman who wore a maid's attire. Her name was Grayfia Lucifuge, she confirmed the reports on the village being attacked by bandits a little prior to the village flourishing. They have 2 story buildings, glass, sufficient food and overall wealth."
