~Lee~
I let out a mighty yawn as I pulled myself up from the warm confines of my bed. I cracked my neck and looked around, taking note of my surroundings. Same old room, but I might not be in here much longer, I thought to myself, thinking to the exciting event today.
My band, 'Deja Vu', and others would be auditioning at the huge auditorium in town for a chance to get into a musical program that aids in advancing our skills and preparing us for actual performances, should we make it into a record company. I was the drummer in our band, Kenna played bass and sang, Bella played the electric guitar and sang, and Koko was the lead vocalist. We had been in a band together for about a year now, playing in each others garages and hoped desperately for a chance like this to come up. We were beyond ecstatic when someone emailed us the information for the auditions today.
I smiled slightly at the memory before yawning quietly and reluctantly dragging myself to the nearby bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror. I sighed when I saw the dark bags under my eyes. I haven't been sleeping right for weeks, but I couldn't tell anyone why. It would ruin what we've worked so hard to achieve! I couldn't live with myself knowing that it was my fault our dreams were ruined. I sighed again before inspecting my other features. This night was worse then the last ones, leaving my hair an utter rats nest and my hazel eyes dull. I also looked paler than usual, but a bit of foundation or something could fix that, I'll have to ask Koko for some when she wakes up.
I shook my head, tired of looking at my miserable self, and turned towards the shower. I removed my pajamas and set the water to warm before stepping in and taking a deep breath. The water felt absolutely wonderful on my tired body, I felt like I could stay in there forever! But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. I soon finished washing myself off and stepped out of the heaven, quickly toweling myself off and brushing my hair. I stood at the counter, debating whether or not to blow-dry my hair. I shook my head, deciding against it, and wrapped and extra towel around my body as I walked back into my room.
I shuffled over to my closet and threw open the door, looking over my choices of apparel for the day. I pondered what might happen during the day and finally decided on some black knee-high socks with a red plaid skirt and a black and red sailor top. I slipped it on and wiggled my hips a bit to get it comfortable. I suppose it'll do, I sighed internally, just wanting to wear something comfy yet fashionable since we had the audition today.
I glanced at the clock and almost choked on my own saliva. I'm gonna be late! I rushed out of my room, grabbing my shoes along the way before sliding down the hallway with my socks. I huffed tiredly as I raced towards the entryway where everyone was supposed to meet before we got on the bus to the auditorium. I slowed slightly when I passed a group photo of all of us, but I kept going after glancing at it. I finally turned the corner to the entryway and saw everyone was impatiently waiting for me. "It's about time!" Kenna shouted as she threw my coat at me and opened the door, "The bus is about to leave!"
I barely caught my coat, let alone put it on, before Koko grabbed my arm and started dragging me outside. "I swear, you sleep like a damn rock!" She muttered, causing me to raise an eyebrow in confusion. Koko caught my look and chuckled. "I even tried using a air horn, but you just kept snoring away!"I opened and closed my mouth, not knowing what to say. Did she try and wake me up this morning?
"Well, I was tired!" I whined as Koko pushed me up the bus stairs. She rolled her eyes with a smile and followed up behind me.
Bella followed Koko up and snorted, "Just like you to stay up late, Lee. What time did you go to to bed?" She questioned me as she looked around the crowded bus, widening her eyes slightly at the amount of people before sitting down next to an abandoned guitar case across from my seat.
