Thank you to 111206ad for this idea! Basically, order 66 had never happened, nobody died, Palpatine was arrested. There will be a couple of things my family does that I incorporated in the chapter.
Some aren't that unique, and majority will have you laughing or questioning why we do them. Enjoy!!
"Okay, that is the last of them!" Ahsoka exhaled. She set the pot filled to the brim with tamales down. Surprisingly, there were leftover corn husks, she set them aside and sat down.
"Ahsoka?" Petro called from down the hall. He further walked towards her and asked "Do you want me to prepare the rice?"
"Yes, put it in the slow cooker, not the microwave, it doesn't taste right."
"So, when do we eat?" Petro said while cutting open the bag. "Is that all you think about, cabŕon?" Ahsoka said with a chuckle. "Pretty much."
As the conversation continued, more of the younglings came. The place then filled with clones and friends. (Also, that weird dog someone brought that we feed table scraps and just sits there)
Kids were everywhere, some running all over the place, other playing games waiting to open gifts at midnight.
Artoo, helping to monitor the kids, was not doing a good job of it. It was either join the craziness or be killed by it.
Petro, Katooni, Gungi, and Ganodi were outside playing. Obi-Wan and Satine were sitting on a bench with Rex and Fives nearby.
Echo was constantly checking the time. Standing over the stove to look at the clock for long periods of time.
Ahsoka and Anakin were drinking and talking, while Padme was eating, still engaging in the conversation.
Kids were still running around or playing games, until Echo screamed "5 MINUTES TIL MIDNIGHT!"
Everyone stopped whatever they were doing. Kids came running in from all different directions.
As they started to open gifts many wondered "Why was my gift in a cereal box?" Or "Why was it in a paper bag used for food?"
"All I can say is, you can't blame me for global warming." Ahsoka said
Yes, I am very aware that this is short and limted on dialog. And yes, we do celebrate on the 24th instead of the 25th. Mostly because tomorrow I have to drive to LA to see my family. But I think this could just be a universal Mexican thing, but I believe other cultures or countries do it too. But all in all, Merry Christmas, and Happy New year!
