.:Chapter Twenty One:.
Doctor. S. Martin was trying to convince Pasque the entire ride that Basil would never try to hurt him, but she just shook her head at him.
"Sebastian, I swear; if you continue to bother me about this sh- I mean, crap, then I will throw your sick butt overboard!" Then she turned and walked below the deck to join Rowan and Gwen.
Rowan was perched on a support plank near the roof, and Gwen was trying to climb up after them, Rowan was laughing despite looking slightly sickly green.
"Help me up, Ro!" Cried Gwen, laughing.
"It's not my fault you don't have wings! Haha!" They replied, smiling. But they reached down to grab her wrists and pull Gwen up.
"Ha, thanks," Gwen said as she pulled herself up a little bit more, brushing dust off the plank.
Pasque jumped down the last step and glanced around. "Gwen? Rowan?" She called, glancing around.
Gwen put her hand over her mouth, trying not to laugh as her aunt looked for them.
"Watch this!" Rowan whispered to Gwen. They took one of their feathers, and dropped it.
Both of them watched as the feather landed on Pasque's back. "AH!" She yelped. She looked up and saw the two of them.
Gwen burst out laughing and Rowan giggled, this time putting their hand over their mouth.
"Excuse me. Come on down from there, Gwen," Her aunt yelped, reaching up for Gwen to jump down.
"Why me?"Gwen cried. "Why not Rowan?"
Rowan laughed. "To be fair, she is your aunt," They pointed out. "And I'm a king, so. Haha. Queen? Quing?" They wrinkled their nose. "Huh. That one doesn't come up often. Probably just king."
Gwen sighed and climbed down from the plank, dropping to the bottom of the boat.
"Don't worry, don't worry, I'll come down too," Ro added. They opened their wings and dropped down next to Gwen, smiling.
Pasque yawned. "I'm going to get some shut eye. I'm exhausted!" She went over to the hammocks on the wall, tired.
Rowan and Gwen exchanged a glance. They were both bright and full of energy. They darted up to the deck to wait to see land.
.:Chapter Twenty Two:.
Basil glared at the angels. Xylem was standing in her cage, pulling out some musty bandages for her shoulder.
Poppy stood behind her with Jade and Snapdragon with a worried expression.
"Maybe we should," Snapdragon huffed.
"No," Answered Xylem from over her shoulder. "If you have a problem with my decision, then go on and talk to Queen Chhaya!"
Snapdragon grumbled for a moment, then spread his wings and flew away through the forest.
"Hey, you didn't need to get my mother involved with this!" Jade yelped. Her huge wings flared open and closed for a moment.
"You deserve it."
Poppy sighed and shook out her feathers. "Guys, stop fighting. We're trying not to be killed here."
Jade and Xylem both rolled their eyes and Basil tried to smother her laugh. She hadn't felt this way since before- before the incident.
