.:Chapter Eleven:.

"YOU'RE AN angel? YOU ARE THE RULER OF THE angels? What the heck is an angel? How many of them are there? Where do you live usually?" Gwen gasped, loud enough to make her father wake.

"Do you want people to find me?! I don't, for one, so quiet down!" They hissed. Ro noticed Sebastian waking and shot up to the hollow above, silently shifting their wings around themselves to quietly camouflage with the shadows.

"Sorry! Wait, why don't you want to be found again?" Gwen asked, eyes wide.

But they didn't answer, their eyes hidden in the hollow.

Sebastian sat up, confused. "What is this racket, Gwen? I was asleep!" He grumbled, sitting up.

Gwen picked up a few of the giant feathers from around her and shoved them into the doctor's face without answering.

"Whoa! Where did you get these, Gwen?! They're the biggest feathers I've ever seen. Gwen?"

All Gwen could do was glare up at the hollow. "Rowan. He isn't going to be mean. He's my dad. Come out, 'Ruler of Earth- whatever angels.'"

"Earthbound," They corrected instantly. "And no. He's wearing a lab coat! What if he grabs me and tries to run tests on me? Or WORSE, what if my angels track me down while he's taking me to his lab and then kill you both?! Nope, not coming out, sorry, Gwen."

"What-" Sebastian started, shocked. He stared into the hollow, and spotted two eyes staring back. Then he turned his gaze to Gwen, speechless.

Gwen just sighed and looked back at her father. "Mr. Martin, would you ever do such a thing to an angel?"

"Wha- wait- angel? Wh- no. N-not at all, I mean, unless the angel was badly injured: then I would do tests to save their life."

"SEE?!" Both Gwen and Rowan said at the exact same time to each other.

"Ok, to be clear: I am VERY CURIOUS. And I would love to meet a real life angel. If that's what you are.." He added silently.

He heard a sigh, and Gwen grinned, reaching up to pull a lump of shadows out of the hollow.

Sebastian couldn't believe his eyes. A person. With WINGS. He was again speechless.

"Hi," Mumbled whom he suspected was Rowan. "I'm Ro."

.:Chapter Twelve:.

Basil roared with pure fury at the cage. Bars seemed to press in around her and her claustrophobia dwindled within her.

She glared around through the bars and tried to call her herd. "Help."

But they didn't come.

No one came.

Hours past, with Basil smashing herself into the bars and howling with fury.

Until finally, someone stepped out of the trees.

"Hello," She said. Her wings and hair were dark emerald green and she wore a matching green shirt with a golden circle on it that made her look a little more regal, and shadowy red pants. She had shaded bark-coloured skin and amber eyes. Her pointy ears had small golden hoops in them. "I am Xylem. Your name is?"

Basil simply shrieked with fury as a response

The angel stood with her wings flicking calmly. The wingspan of her wings were small, about the length of her arms when spread out. "I understand you are mad about the cage but I must say I had to take some precautions, after witnessing you tear off titanium wings from your own body. Your name?"
