I was standing in the middle of a large pool of blood. Darkness surrounded me and there was just silence. A familiar sense of fear engulfed me as I stood still, not being able to move a muscle.

"Y/N" I heard my name beyond the darkness, sending shivers down my spine. I remained quiet looking around but I saw nothing.

"Why Y/N" someone whispered, this time I heard it closer. I looked around quickly but still, no one was there. 'This is just a dream' I alerted myself without hesitation. I closed my eyes and pictured a landscape filled with many flowers and sakura blossom trees. As the image I was creating in my head became clearer, I was cut off by the person who had been calling out to me.

"Why...why Y/N" the person wept. My anxiety started to rise and my heart began to ache. 'Calm down Y/N this isn't real' I said to myself as I shut my eyes again. I tried to imagine the image I was creating a moment ago but the voice tormenting me spoke again.

"How could you..." the weeping whisper swiftly entered my ear. "...live on without us" My eyes widened at their remark. My heart froze as dreadful memories slowly crept into my mind. "Why didn't you die that night" they continued to whisper into my ear as they gripped both my arms from behind. I was now completely paralyzed. I felt the pool of blood begin to rise fast, as it crept up to my knees. I took slow and deep breaths to regain control of my body. 'Don't listen, don't listen, don't listen' I repeated non-stop.

"Why didn't you save him...us?" they proceeded but I was now shaking tremendously. "You let us die, you-"

"SHUT UP" I cut them off finally being able to speak. I began to shove and scream violently. "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP" I screamed from the top of my lungs. The pool of blood was now up to my chest. I shut my eyes and continued to shove around trying to set myself free. Blood splashed everywhere from the aggressive movements and my heartbeat kept increasing. I felt the blood rise even faster than before as it reached my jaw. "LET GO OF ME" I screamed like there was no tomorrow.

"LET GO" I screamed one more time and my eyes finally opened as I was met with Orihime's apartment. I was sitting up covered in sweat and panting heavily. My heart was pounding inside my chest. 'It was just another nightmare' I thought while lying back down trying to stabilize my breathing. Suddenly I heard hard footsteps running toward me. I quickly sat back up and saw Matsumoto and Orihime with worry written all over their faces. Realizing it was just them I threw myself back and lazily placed my arm over my eyes while the other remained on my stomach. I continued to focus on my breathing once more.

"Are you ok Y/N-chan??" Orihime rushed over concerned grabbing my hand as she got on her knees by the couch.

"We heard a scream is everything alright?" Matsumoto chimed in standing beside Orihime also sounding very concerned.

"You're all sweaty and panting what happened?" they continued questioning me but I didn't have the energy to answer. All I thought about was getting my breathing under control. I heard a male's voice speak up in the background.

"I heard a scream what happened!?" He questioned worried as well. 'Toshiro...?' I asked myself. Since I was still stunned by the nightmare it made it harder for me to identify or comprehend my surroundings, especially at a distance. I slowly rose up my arm from my eyes to make sure it really was him. Able to see again, I saw Toshiro in front of me with a confused and worried look on his face. I lowered my arm back down slowly. I took one last deep breath inhaling and exhaling slowly. Finally, I rose up into a sitting position still settling my breathing.

"I'm fine...it was just some stupid dream," I stood up slowly so I wouldn't get lightheaded. They continued to look at me with worried eyes not knowing how to respond.
