7: don't underestimate him

"He's putting us in danger."

A soft, mellow and deadly sweet voice rang out through the tiny room seven people were currently squashed into.

"Be careful, what if he hears?"

How amusing that the one who looked much like a squirrel was skittish like one too.

"And if he hears?"

"Quiet Hyunjin, you have no right to talk on this matter when we all see the way you look at him." Fierce words, that sprouted not from an intent to raise self awareness but rather from seething jealousy.

The beauty simply scoffed in return, "Like Jeongin looks at him any differently to the way I do."

"Let's not talk on such matters as this. Let's hear Seungmin out."

The sleek, fox-like man placated the group with a sigh, a slight sadness apparent in his voice.

"Don't underestimate that boy. The second we showed him a new perspective of this world, we all walked willingly into his outstretched palm." Chan stated seriously.

But that was exactly the problem; something the seven of them would never understand.

They hadn't shown him anything, rather they had been shown everything by him.

Though all of them thought it, not a single man in that room could voice what they were thinking, for fear of offending each other. Deep down, they were slightly aware of the fact that all of them had suffered some sort of infatuation with a certain blonde.

And yet... ignorant bliss was certainly a more comfortable place to sit oneself in.

"We could overpower him though, don't you think? He's only a kid after all."

Maybe it was a good thing the traveller couldn't hear Minho at the moment, else he would have fought endlessly to contain his laugh at that statement.

"I think you underestimate what I said. There's no way he could have gotten away with that accident without being seen, unless he were able to become invisible like me, as well as teleport... there's absolutely no way he could have got back here so fast by any other means."

"A fair point Changbin, it does trouble me that I of all people failed to locate him. I'm still rather puzzled as to how he even got away."

"Let me say one thing, he's certainly good at distractions."

Jeongin spoke dejectedly, a bitter twinge tainting the edge of his words, yet they weren't spat - rather they tumbled from him like truths he wished he did not have to speak.

The man pretended not to notice the blush that seemed to spring to everyone's cheeks.

No words needed to be said in order for them to understand that each and every one of them had, at some point, a rather heated encounter with the one being discussed.

"Do you think he plans things?"

"What plans could he possibly have? It's not like we're the only people with oddities in this city."

"What if that's it?"

"And what do you mean by that?"

"What if he has plans for the others out there? And we let him in so easily..."

Voices bounced back and forth off of each other in mute concern, with the occasional shush from somebody to remind them they were not to wake a certain individual.

Too bad none of them had realized that the combination of seven minds working furiously all at once, could be rather loud and interruptive for somebody trying to sleep.

Felix giggled silently inside his bedroom, thoroughly enjoying the entertainment he was experiencing.

Fools. Utter fools.

They really thought they could outsmart him?

The only person the SPF had ever failed to catch?

The idea of their egos being so inflated was the most amusing thing the blonde had encountered in his entire life, so much so that he didn't wish to interrupt their little tea party - he was having far too much fun listening to them spin themselves around and around in pointless little circles.

So they'd realized he had plans.

He had to commend Chan for being on the right track, though his arrogance yet again got the better of him by his belief that he could thwart the plan of a mastermind.

Indeed, his next course of action was to involve any other civilians who possessed oddities of any kind. While he had a perfectly good orchestra of seven, there was no denying that one saying about strength lying in numbers.

What the gang didn't know however, was that Felix had already arranged for this to happen long before they'd figured it out. So much so that he had to hold back immense laughter as they planned away on how to stop him, since he was the only one aware that the new recruits were showing up that very next morning to serve him.

Amusing, indeed.

And so as the clueless gang of supposed criminals planned away into the night, Felix lay in bed comfortably, their thoughts scattering about like a disjointed film.

He fantasized.

What if they were to try and stop the recruits from coming in?

Or- even better! What if they set out on their own little mission to try and save everybody? What entertainment he would be blessed with then!

A gang of supposed villains refusing to allow a massive chaos to occur, and rather telling everybody to go home!

He suspected were that event to occur, he may for the first time fail in concealing his laughter.

Technically, now that he'd ensured himself at least another twelve recruits, he didn't need the little "oddinary" group anymore. He'd found his footing perfectly fine - all they'd provided him was some good entertainment.

Yet, he could still make use of them.

Tomorrow, they would set out to convert the entire odd population of Gangnam. The numbers would be astronomical.

Then?

All hell would break loose.

And if the seven in the room down the hall refused, he would simply convince them as sweetly as he possibly could.

After all, even Jeongin had crumbled at the mere thought of Felix wanting to get ice-cream solely with him... it really shouldn't take much.

Things were about to get fun.
