My back lay on the soft mattress, closed my eyes.
When I opened them, I'm back in the middle of the pine woods. Lights peeking through, the shadow of my figure formed along the grass. As these bare feet feels the texture of the grass- tickling my feet, a cold yet calming breeze hit my face. Leading a path to walk on. With the usual blue dress, I was walking forward to reach the wide green landscape I've always loved.
As I reached the end of the woods, there I see the back of my comfort boy- Tobias.
He turned as if knowing my arrival. Soft smile formed on that beautiful face. The only face that never betrayed me."You're here." He greeted me, reach out his hand.
I walked a few steps ahead until our hands touched. His big hand engulfed mine like it's meant for him. Slowly we walked further into the landscape. The place where we see each other to release what's been burdening.
Closed both eyes, head facing the sky, and walking beside him. What a beautiful feeling. Secure and calm.
I could feel his gaze on me. So I opened my eyes and look up at his tall figure. That calm face slowly loosen up my tangled mind.He let go of my hand, "run and let them all out." We stopped in the middle of the greens.
I look ahead for a second before starting to move my feet. My hair all pushed back from the wind. Extending my hands while making a few turns as I run and giggling like a little kid. When I face back at Tobias from a far, he stood still with both hands in his pocket. Content smile painted on his face.
Extending my hands up in the air while looking at the sky, I screamed all of my worries out. Then fisting the air. Tried to let go of those people who gets into my head. All those judgements they threw long time ago. Even the love they gave me that's inflicting my heart. The hatred I have for the cause of hating myself for a little thing that makes me, me.
I straighten my body and realized she has arrived. The little girl with curly dark hair in her usual flare white dress. Standing besides Tobias, watching me.
Without permission, tears streaming down my cheeks. She looked at me with a straight face. Tobias holds her hand and walk her up to me. Every step they take made my body sinks in a deep emotions.
As they finally stand close in front of me, Tobias reached out to wipe my stained cheek. I gulped, looking down at her.
That familiar chubby face always give me a mixed feeling. She smiled up at me, showing her two missing little front teeth and half moon-like eyes.
Tobias' hand took mine and place it on her little shoulder. He stepped aside while giving me an assuring smile.
She reached out both of her hands. I bend down to her height and she immediately hugged my neck."I'm okay." Her voice came out whispering. I hug her tight.
"And if you don't, I'm here." I whispered back. Her little hug tighten.
Big hands landed on our heads. "We're in this together, as always." That sweet deep voice echoes in my ears.
