Chapter 1 (Season 1)

15 years later. There they are, a grown up Casey and a teenaged Phelix. Attending the funeral of their mother, Carol Howard. Also attending was a grown up Adam, Torey, Penelope (now going by Maria) and her son, Walker. Casey and Phelix say their speeches about their mother. After that, they go and talk to the others. "How are you doing, Case?" Adam asked, as the others were behind him. "Dealing..I guess. Cancer's a bitch" Casey said. "Yea" Penelope says, with her son, Walker, beside her. "At least she's resting now" Torey says, wearing shades to protect her eyes. Phelix begins to walk off. "Where you going?" Casey stops him. "To get water" Phelix said. "Okay. I can come with you" Casey says. "Case, I can do it myself" Phelix says, walking away. Walker follows him.

"You okay?" Walker asks Phelix. "Why everyone keeps asking me that?" Phelix says. "Maybe because your mom just died?". "Which one?" Phelix jokes. "C'mon, man. Be serious" Walker said. Phelix sighed. "She was sick for a long time" he says. "I'm sad that she's gone, but I'm happy that she's not suffering anymore". Walker nods, putting his hand on Phelix's shoulder. "That's a positive way of looking at it, man" he says.

Casey continues to talk with the others. "Is Phelix doing okay?" Penelope asked. "I think he's dealing too" Casey says. "That's good, Case. But that wasn't what I was asking about". Casey sighs. "He still doesn't know about the truth" she says. "Still? Casey, he's gonna find out eventually. You can't protect him forever" Adam says. "Yeah. Once he goes out on his own, demons are gonna be there" Torey says. "And how exactly am I gonna tell him? Hmm? I have devil's traps in the house, so no demon is getting in" Casey said. "I also have him wearing that charm". "Okay. And has he asked any questions?" Adam says. "Yea. And I tell him the truth. 'To keep the demons away'. I just leave the antichrist part out" Casey said. "Okay. And where's your charm?" Adam questioned. "I tattooed it" Casey says, rolling up her sleeve to show the signature charm marked on her arm. "Once Phelix gets old enough, he'll get it too. You guys should do the same, in case you lose it" she says. "Casey, I think you should tell Phelix the truth. Before it's too late" Penelope said. "Hey, Penelope. Oh, my fault..'Maria'. Have you told your son the truth about his father? Or even the truth about you, in fact?" Casey said. Penelope looks down. "Didn't think so" Casey says. "I know what I'm doing, guys. Don't worry about it" she says, walking off.

After the funeral, Casey and Phelix head home. When they got home, Phelix started pulling out clothes for school tomorrow. Casey notices this. "You don't have to go to school. You know that right? They gave you the rest of the quarter off" Casey says. "I know. I just...wanna go anyway" Phelix responds. "It'll get my mind off of it". Casey nods. "Okay" she says. "Just...be careful". Phelix smiles, nodding. "I'm off work for a few weeks. So just wake me up, I'll take you" Casey says, walking away.

The next day, Casey drops Phelix off at school. While walking the halls, someone walks up to Phelix. "Yo, Phelix! You here, bro?" The person said to him. "Angel? Yea, I'm here" Phelix said. "You good, bruh? I heard" Angel says. "Yeah, I'm..I'm trying" Phelix responds. "Aight. Well, you need somewhere to get ya mind off that shit, my place always open" Angel said, walking away. "Yeah, I'll be there" Phelix says.

Phelix gets to class. This class he shares with Walker, as he sits next to him. "Why you here? I thought they gave you the quarter off?" Walker asked. "Yea. Well, missing school ain't gon' do shit. I need something to occupy my mind" Phelix said. Walker nods. "Aight". "Phelix Howard, didn't expect to see you. We're glad to have you" The teacher said. "Thanks". "Good to have you back, Phelix" a girl said, sitting behind him. Phelix turns around. "Thanks, Madelyn" he says, as they both smile.

After school, Phelix visits Angel at his house with others, missing the bus. Angel, Phelix, and Madelyn share the couch, as the other sits on the chair. Phelix's phone is getting blown up by Casey's calls and messages, but he ignores it. "Life go by fast, bro" Angel says, as he's vaping. "That's why I never keep a bitch". They laugh. "You don't even get bitches" Madelyn laughs. "Bruh, you know how many hoes I would've had if I didn't fuck it up? I fucked them up for a reason" Angel says, as they laugh. "You fuck it up because you don't know to keep a bitch" the person on the chair said. "Marvin, yo ass should not be talking, bruh" Angel laughs. "Aye, pass me that shit" Madelyn grabs the vape from Angel, smoking it. "Aight, fiend" Angel said. After smoking the vape, Madelyn looks at Phelix. "Yo, Phelix. You want some?" Madelyn asked. "Nah, I'm good" Phelix replied. "Aight. Marvin, you want some?". "Hell yeah" Marvin says, grabbing the vape. After seeing Marvin smoke the vape, Phelix changes his mind. "Aye, maybe I could have some" Phelix said. "Aight" Marvin said, passing the vape to Phelix. As Phelix smokes the vape, there's several knocks at the door. Angel gets up, as Phelix quickly hides the vape. "Is that your parents?" Phelix panics. "Nah, my parents out. They wouldn't care anyway" Angel said, walking to the door. When he answers the door, it's Casey. "Who you?" Angel said to her. "Is Phelix here?". "Case!?" Phelix says, walking to the door. "The hell are you doing here!? You're coming home!" Casey says, grabbing Phelix and dragging him out of the house. "I'll..catch you later" Angel said, closing the door. "Stop! Let go of me!" Phelix said, pushing himself off of Casey. "What the fuck is wrong with you!? You can't just go out somewhere without telling me!" Casey says, angrily. "You're not mom!" Phelix said. "Yea, but I am your guardian!" Casey says. "You don't know what's out in the world, Phelix! Something could happen to you!". "I'm not a kid anymore! Stop treating me like one!" Phelix said, walking off to the car. Casey shakes her head, following him.

Later that day, Madelyn leaves Angel's house and returns to her home. "Hey, Mady. How was Angel's?" Madelyn's mother asked her, while she's cooking dinner in the kitchen. "Cool" Madelyn says, as she goes upstairs to her room. Madelyn is laying on her bed, looking at her phone. When black smoke went under the slightly opened window. Madelyn heard the smoke swishing through the wind. As the room reeked of sulfur. She was confused and frightened by looking at the black smoke. Then suddenly, the smoke jammed itself in Madelyn's mouth. Madelyn screamed as the black smoke forcefully entered her body. After the smoke fully entered her body, Madelyn passed out, seemingly unconscious. Madelyn's mother rushed upstairs after hearing the screams. "MADY!" She screamed as she saw her unconscious daughter. She shook her daughter, trying to awaken her. But when Madelyn woke up, her eyes were fully black. She grabbed the mother's neck with one hand and lifted her up. The mother, panicking, trying her hardest to fight back. "Awww! Adorable" Madelyn says. *SNAP* she breaks the mother's neck, killing her.

It's nighttime now. Casey and Phelix haven't talked since their fight, as Casey intends to break the silence. "Hey, Phelix" Casey says, walking in his room. "Sup". "Look, I know I'm very protective over you. But you gotta understand...the shit that has happened to me..the people I've lost...I can't lose you too" Casey said. "You not gonna lose me, Case" Phelix says, walking up to her. "Just because I'm growing up, don't mean you gon' lose me. I ain't going nowhere" he says. "Alright. Bet' not" Casey says, as they hug. "How'd you find me anyway?" Phelix asks. "I asked around the school. People saw you leave with that 'Angel' kid. Asked the principal for his information. Walla!" Casey said. "You don't gotta worry about me, Case. I'm fine. Ain't nothing gonna happen to me" Phelix says.

Standing outside of the house is the demon that's possessing Madelyn. She's watching from a distance, plotting. Waiting on her next move...
