Washington, D.C. 10:25 AM    Sept. 22

Steve walked as fast as he could, without running, through the busy congressional corridors.  Bypassing the Senator's secretary, Steve went directly into the Senator's office.

"Sir, I have the information you requested concerning Kaizen", said Steve.

Senator Barnes looked up from the papers on his desk.  He reached for the file in Steve's hand.

Steve spoke while the Senator read the file.
"It appears that Kaizen, real name Dushawn Michaels, spent several years in a few of our federal prisons for aiding and abetting unarmed bank robbery.  He was released a couple of years ago."

Senator Barnes continued to scan over the file, occasionally stopping to refer to the print outs on his desk.
"It says here that he travels the country, going college to college." said the Senator.

Steve said, "Yes, Senator.  Almost immediately after his release, he began doing musical tours throughout his home state of Ohio."

"Well, now we know that he was doing more than playing music at these colleges", said Senator Barnes.

Senator Barnes closed the manila file folder, and then placed it in his top desk drawer.  He turned to his laptop.
"Steve, with your youthful appearance, you could easily blend into one of those college crowds.  Why don't you take a vacation and do some traveling."

Steve smiled at the mention of a vacation, but he knew he was really being asked to do surveillance on Kaizen at these venues.

"Well, I guess I could do a little networking while I'm away.  When do you want me to leave, sir?" Steve asked.

The Senator looked away from his laptop screen towards Steve. "Now would be nice." The Senator sarcastically said to Steve.

Steve quickly spun around and dashed out of the Senator's office.

The Senator spent the next few hours looking over Kaizen's website.  That was when he heard the "Hidden History Sessions" for himself.  Even though he had a printout of the manuscript, hearing it brought about a different effect.

After completely listening to the digital file, the Senator made a call.
''Dale, it's Ben.  There's something you need to hear.  Go to Kaizen.net, call me when you're done.  You need to do it A.S.A.P."

Senator Barnes hung up.

Senator Benjamin Barnes was the senator from the state of Tennessee.  As a republican, Senator Barnes received strong support from the religious community of churches and organizations.

He worked his way up from a local councilman to state legislator then to Federal Congress as a senator.
Senator Barnes was a hardline-conservative, and a corporate lobbyist's dream.  If you had the funds, he had the ear mark or bill.  He understood power, and used it to his advantage.

The Senator's phone rang.
"Hello?" he answered.

"Ben, is this guy serious, or was that marketing for a movie?" asked Judge Irons.

"No, Dale, he's 100% serious.  We first caught a glimpse of him streaming a message to his members, and prospects, about influencing this year's upcoming election.  I think this is something we need to keep an eye on", replied Senator Barnes.

"Do you want to call a meeting with the fellas?" asked Judge Irons.

The Senator waited a few seconds, then said, "Make the calls.  I'll see you at 9 PM tonight.”

After the Senator hung up from the call, he looked back at his laptop and said, "So you think you'll make a difference?  We shall see."
