Nightmare and his baby gang

Chapiter 9

Today was a rainy day just like all the previous days of the week and Nightmare could sense that his boys had enough of staying in the castle all day. He was feeling much better after resting on the couch the other day and the kids behaved really well, perhaps they noticed he needed to rest. So he decided to take them to another universe where they could play and make as much noise as they would.

He had chosen a negative universe so Dream or Ink wouldn't find them and if they did well he was stronger in negative universes so he could protect his boys. The difficult thing here was to find a negative AU where children wouldn't in danger, at first he was thinking about the surface of an Underfell AU but if the humans weren't used to monsters they could be violent. He found what he was looking for in a Mafiafell copy. The monsters were on the surface for a while now so he could take his gang outside and like it was a copy it drew less attention than an original. The stars sanses shouldn't be a bother. Perhaps he could take them to Cinno's AU next time.

Determined to surprise his gang the guardian didn't tell them anything about where they were going. He wanted to wait for the breakfast to tell them but for that, he needed to wake them up first and knowing how Killer liked morning as much as him it wouldn't be a piece of cake.
When he got to the room and open the curtain the little murderer shrieked and turned his face in his pillow. While his brothers were already up even if one of them (Cross) wasn't fully awake, the young skeleton was groaning.

"It's too early for morning...Tell the sun to go away..." Said Killer with a muffled voice coming from the pillow.

"Killer it's 10 AM I think the sun has all the right to wake you up. Besides if you don't wake up you're going to miss the surprise."

That made all of his boys look at him with curiosity even Killer turned his head toward him with an impatient smile. Horror climbed in his tentacle to get closer to him and Nightmare wondered if it was like what his mother felt when he and Dream climbed in her branches.

"What kind of surprise? Are we going to play together with new toys?" Asked curiously Cross while Dust was holding his hand, impatient to see what Nightmare prepared for them.

"I'll tell you downstairs when you will finish your breakfast. Now come with me if you want the surprise to last long we need to hurry."

Before he could even blink Killer was out of his bed and all of his boys were already on the stairs running to the kitchen. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to tell them about the surprise when they were still in their room.

"Don't run down the stairs you're going to get hurt!" Screamed the guardian to his impatiens boys.

Fortunately, nobody seemed to be hurt when he came downstairs to the kitchen where were all of his gang already setting the table for breakfast. He prepared the food for all of them and got himself a mug of coffee. He could feel all of his boys intensely staring at him, waiting for the surprise revelation that he was about to do.

"Okay okay, today we're going out. I'm taking all of you to another universe so you can play outside and discover more about other worlds"

"AWESOME!!" Screamed Killer and Cross while Dust and Horror had the biggest smile they could on their faces.

"But before you need to finish your breakfast and dress up, as much as you like them pajamas aren't for the outside."

Nightmare didn't think that his gang, even when they were adults, had prepared themself as quickly as today. He didn't even finish cleaning the table, they were already back from their room, all dressed up. He cleaned the table and washed the dishes as quickly as he could and helped his gang with their coat well Horror. The others could do it by themself, Horror had more problems with it due to the hole in his skull.
