The Next Day
I had sent Kaner away from our room that night, and Taylor and I took over the appartment. We had so much fun. I had not slept very good that night though, but I didn't regret it yet. Taylor and I had laughed so much, I had to enjoy every minute I had with her.
If I was going to get up and work that morning, after our long night, I would drag Taylor with me. That was a promise.
I had to admit, it was a bit sad going back to the routine, but I knew that this is what I signed up for. And that meant getting up early to go to the gym. But at least Tuesday mornings were Flexibility classes, and I knew exactly who I could drag there with me.
Taylor Crosby and Corey Crawford, of course.
It was hard to focus though, because Corey kept making Taylor and I laugh during the whole class. I couldn't remember a time where I had laughed so much.
At the end, when Corey, Taylor and I were all walking out into the hallway, I reached Corey and punched him on the shoulder, not as hard as I could've.
"Ow." He nearly shouted, turning towards me. "What's your problem?"
I grabbed his arm, trying to be serious. "You can't keep messing around in that class. I feel so rude when I keep laughing, and I can't keep apologizing to the poor lady. She'll kick me out the next time."
He smiled, "Your the one laughing."
I hit his shoulder again, not impressed, and Taylor laughed as well. Everyone knew I was an easy person to get a laugh out of, especially when I was in a good mood.
He grinned, "Okay, fine."
I chuckled and we began walking back towards the locker room, maybe get ready for the practice that was still a few hours away but hey, we wouldn't be late, that's for sure.
I stopped in my tracks as I heard a voice behind me. "What are you guys doing here so early?"
I turned around to face Johnny, that was also in his regular workout clothes. "Fitness class. It was fun."
"Definitely painful at times." Corey added, turning around to face him.
"Oh, no pain, no gain." Taylor said, and I grinned.
I fist-bumped her, grinning at her. "I love you girl."
She smiled at me, but it didn't last long because Johnny coughed, giving the hint that something was bothering him. All eyes turned on him.
"Is it okay if I talk with Rose alone for a second, guys?" John said to them.
Corey didn't even hesitate, simply took it, smiled and began to walk in the opposite direction that we were heading in. Taylor held onto his arm and I saw her sneaking a last glance at me, before she followed him down the hallway.
John put his arm around my shoulder, and we continued to walk forwards, away from them.
"You ready for tonight?" He smiled.
"Always ready, Captain." I smiled up at him.
"The coach wanted me to tell you something." He said, leaning against the wall and moving away from me slightly.
I looked over at him, seriously. "Is he kicking me off the team?"
"No."
"Then go on." I smiled.
