The fork that I was holding clattered to my plate, my mouth hung open. She was never like this. What had came over her? Was it the fact we didn't have parents looking over us, or was it that she was jealous and knew something was going on with Samuel and I? I sat there, not being able to say anything.
We all sat there for a long moment, saying nothing. Finally Sam broke the silence, "I don't think that would be appropriate. I am twenty-two and being in a two girl's apartment doesn't sound very classy." I scoffed. He looked at me and winked a little bit.
"I'm not saying like that Sam. We are going grocery shopping in the morning and we don't know where anything is. Plus unpacking tonight would go a lot faster with six hands rather than four." She had a point, we had been so busy unpacking clothes to wear for tomorrow, we hadn't even started the living room or the kitchen.
"Okay, I'll stay. But I'm sleeping on the couch. No objections." With his okay, Zoe and I relaxed a bit. When I had finished my dinner, I threw my trash in the waste bin. I walked to my room and continued to unpack.
****
It took about four hours to unpack my room, my bathroom, the kitchen and the living by myself. Sam and Zoe unpacked her stuff. Me, being the clean freak of this house, I vacuumed the areas that were unpacked and tidied up places that needed it. By the time I finished all of this, it was eleven thirty. I was exhausted and in need of a shower.
I grabbed my new Victoria's Secret pink dorm shorts and my old soccer tee and got into the shower. My phone filled the bathroom with music. I let the warm water wash over my head and back for a long moment, then began to sing along with the music. I had been singing to where I didn't hear the person who entered the bathroom come in, until I heard the music shut off.
"Pandora, huh? Oh, Linkin Park fan. I like them too." I froze, Sam could walk in here and see me with no problem, there wasn't a door. Just a walkway.
"Why are you in here? I'm taking a shower." I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair, but kept the water running.
"You're wasting water, I would've showered with you. Save money and water." I heard some sarcasm, obviously that wasn't his only intentions.
"Right, because that's the only intentions you have." I turned off the water getting annoyed. I walked across the passage way to where my towel was, first making sure Sam wasn't looking. I wrapped the towel around me and walked out of the walkway. Sam was sitting on the counter he smirked when he saw me. I looked around for my clothes.
"Where are my clothes?!" I was pissed, he gave me a smirk.
"You get all your clothes back, and I mean all of them, when I can see you." His smirk stayed plastered on his face.
"You will never see me naked, but if I go on a date with you, will you leave?" He smiled, showing perfect white teeth. He nodded a little bit and handed me my phone and slipped off into the shower. He threw his shorts and boxers down the walkway. I put my hair in towel to dry and got dressed. I walked over to the entrance of the shower and picked up his clothes. Folding them nicely, I set them on the counter, setting a note on the top of them.
Text me when and where the date is. ~Rayley xx
I walked out and laid on my new king-sized bed. I pulled my covers over me and set my alarm for six thirty. I was going to get roughly six hours of sleep. I won't complain though. I've lived with staying up for forty-eight hours.
I was fast asleep until I felt the covers move and someone else crawl in. I rolled over and opened my eyes. "Zoe?" I got no response. I put my hand up to the person's torso, shirtless, and toned. I traced Samuel's abs. He chuckled a little bit.
"You don't mind having company, right? Couch was getting too crowded, Zoe had fallen asleep and the television on, so I came in here..." He trailed off. I was too tired to fight with him to get out of my bed.
"Yeah, sure you can stay." He pulled me closer to him. I fell back to sleep quickly. He stroked my hair and kept me close to him the whole night. I once tried to get out of his arms and he held me tighter. I gave up and fell back asleep.
I woke up sprawled out on top of him. His hands on my bare back. My eyes went wide, did we do anything last night? Then I felt my shirt and remembered that whenever I get hot, I pull up my shirt without knowing it. He chuckled.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." He brushed some hair out of my face and kissed my cheek. I rolled off him and got up. I walked over to my mirror and turned on my curling iron. He walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Don't run away from me." He brushed my hair back exposing the love bite he created yesterday. He softly kissed it, then started kissing down my neck. I tried to get out of his grip, but he tightened it when I did. "I can please you, Ray. You know it. Let me and I'll treat you right."
He spun me around to face him, pulling me closer. My heart sped up. Maybe I did like him, but I wouldn't do anything with him. Zoe likes him. He leaned down and pressed his mouth to mine, his hands on my hips. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing back. His tongue slipped into my mouth, his hips desperately pushed against mine. His kiss became rougher the longer we stood there. His heart rate increased as well as mine. I could feel what I was doing to him. It didn't go unnoticed in only sleep pants. I heard the door open and a gasp filled the room.
I tried to push Sam off of me, but it didn't work. Either he didn't hear Zoe or he didn't care. I heard the pounding of her foot steps as she ran the other way, and her bedroom door slam. Damn it. Sam held me closer and I put my hands on his chest.
"Sam. Stop."
"Why?" His mouth moved to my ear and his raspy morning voice spoke, "I want you. Bad, Rayley."
"I don't care how badly you want me. Zoe caught us. I need to go talk to her." I was getting frustrated as he didn't listen to me and he kept kissing my neck.
"You haven't ever been touched have you? You're so innocent."
I rolled my eyes. It was true. I had never done anything sexual, and hadn't kissed anyone since seventh grade. I looked at him and pushed him off me a little bit.
"No I haven't. I really don't know about being innocent.. But that's beside the point. Let me go. I really need to talk to Zoe." He didn't let me go. He kept me there.
"No. I will. I need her to know that I wasn't ever attracted to her for more than a friend. She needs to hear that from my mouth, Rayley. Plus, I don't want it slipping that you've had feeling for me since you were fourteen."
With that, he walked away. I was left to do my hair and make-up. I walked into my closet and picked out a crop-top that showed my stomach and had an American Flag printed on the front. I found my old pair of lace shorts and slipped them on. I grabbed my sun glasses, wallet and car keys. Zoe was waiting for me out side my door.
"Hey, Zo. I'm really so-" but I was cut off as she slapped me.
"You bitch. We will still be apartment mates, but we are no longer friends. Understand? Don't go near my stuff and I wont go near your stuff." With that she walked back to her side of the apartment. I stood there for a second. I walked back into my room and grabbed my phone.
"Hello?" The voice on the other line spoke.
"Sam? Hey. We're going on a beach date tonight. Meet me there at four. No objections. Bring your car, I'm staying at your place tonight." I hung up before he had the chance to question why. I walked out of the apartment and went to the store.
