"I'm just saying, you should totally come with me! It'd be better than spending your Friday night with Hopper." Wyatt suggested. It was a regular Friday. It had been a week and a month since my sick incident with Vance. He's been acting like nothing happened though. Of course, he is. Wyatt's inviting me to a rich and popular people party tonight. "Please come! It'll be so boring without you!" He begged. Oh, another detail, Wyatt and I are dating now. Crazy, right? The whole school knows. "Okay, okay. I'll go. Just don't make me make any new friends without you there." I joked. "Great! It's gonna be so fun babe." He said and kissed me goodbye. Even though we've been dating for a month, his kisses still give me butterflies. Vance was waiting for me by a tree. He had also kinda been giving me the silent treatment since I started dating Wyatt. We started walking back together, "I'm going to a party tonight. So make sure you eat something, Kay?" I said. "Mhm." He replied quietly. The walk back was pure agony.

I put my hair into a claw clip and looked Into the mirror, making sure I had all my makeup on. I smoothed my dress down and grabbed my bag. Wyatt was supposed to be picking me up. I checked the time and headed for the door. "I'm leaving now, see you later tonight Vance!" I called to him and walked out the door. "You look pretty," Wyatt said, kissing me as I got into the car. "Thank you, baby. You look handsome too." I complimented him. We were soon at the house. Tons and tons of people were there and the music was blasting. It gave me a little anxiety not gonna lie. "C'mon, everyone's gonna love you."Wyatt comforted me, taking my hand. I gave him a weak smile and got out of the car. He brought me in and it was so crowded of course. I don't know what I was expecting. We walked to a living room area where all his friends were, "Aye! My boy Wyatt!" One of them said. They all talked for a little and I just sat next to him. It started to get late. It was about 10:30 and I had done a lot of awkward dancing. "Hey, I'm gonna go get us some drinks," I said to Wyatt. He nodded his head and I left. It was tough getting through the crowd but I managed. There was spiked punch so I just got some of that. I didn't plan to drink mine anyways. As I was walking back, I heard Wyatt and his friends talking. "You can't seriously like her!" One of them said. "Yeah! That ch1nk needs to go back to her country!" Another chimed in. "Guys guys, I don't actually like her! The only reason I'm 'dating' her is because it gets on Hopper's nerves. It's hilarious!" Wyatt laughed. I dropped the punch and it splattered all over my dress. Suddenly the music was too loud, it was too hot, and the crowd was too big. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. "I seriously pity her though. It's cute how she thinks we're actually dating! Like I would go that low to date someone like her" he added. I was full-on crying now. I rushed out the door and started running home. I took off my heels and threw them on the ground. I could feel my mascara running down my face and into my lips. It tasted bitter but I didn't care. I ran for a little while, having to take small breaks to wipe my tears. I was finally home. Home sweet home. I stumbled in and slammed the door behind me. Vance got up from the couch and looked at my dress and my disheveled face, "Fuck, are you okay?" He asked, walking towards me. I just shook my head no and burst into tears again. He hugged me tight and let me cry Into his shoulder. "Shh, Shh, it's okay, I'm here." He whispered to me. I calmed down a little and Vance told me I should go change then we could talk about it if I wanted to. I changed into a big T-shirt and shorts. I took my hair down and threw the claw clip on the floor. I walked into the kitchen and sat on the counter next to where Vance was getting ice cream. We sat on the couch together with ice cream, "So what happened?" "Wyatt doesn't even love me," I said between hiccups from my tears. "He said that he dated me because he pitied me and his friend called me a fucking slur!" I cried. Vance was gritting his teeth. I knew he was going to beat up Wyatt the next time he saw him but I want him to leave it to me. I'll have special plans for him. "Hey, it's okay. I told you Cain was trouble." "I know, I should've listened to you and maybe I wouldn't be here." "Maybe. I don't know, you always find your way into trouble." He laughed. "Speak for yourself." I mumbled, eating a spoonful of ice cream. I lay my head on Vance's shoulder for a while. I couldn't believe I was this close to him. He put his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder a little. "I just can't believe my first kiss was with a boy who didn't even love me." I mumbled again. "Do you want a redo on that first kiss?" He asked. I looked over and he was already looking at me. His eyes looked more sincere than ever. I even noticed a glint of liking. I was a blushing mess by now, speechless too. Our faces were inches apart. I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him into a kiss. It was like my whole world stopped. So did my heart. Everything was put on hold for this one moment. His kiss and love slowly started to heal my cracked heart. Now, nothing mattered besides him. He didn't pull away either. We started to make out. It just felt right, being here with him. His hands traveled down my back and to my waist. I didn't mind his touch anymore. We took small breaths between each kiss. This was definitely better than the kiss I had with Wyatt. I don't care that Vance is a fighter and always comes home bloody, I'll be there to bandage him up. I'll be there when he needs me. He broke the kiss, "Was that better than with Cain?" He asked breathlessly. I smiled a little, "Yeah"
