From Boyfriend's point of view.
Boyfriend abruptly awoke from his nap about an hour later in a cold sweat - He looked down to find the comfortable sofa he slept on was instead replaced with a cold, hard floor. Today absolutely sucked for him. Why was he on the floor instead? Did someone put him there? Did he just.. Roll off?
He looked around, the rest of the living room was dark with only one dimly lit lamp on the small table near his sofa. Logically, nobody would be up at this time - and he didn't want to soil what others thought about him once more by asking miscellaneous questions. He placed his right palm on his forehead and tried to recount what happened before he slept.
He was thinking about that deal Tabi offered him.. Said good night to Sky... got a change of clothes... none of this could have added up to why he was on the floor - He thought a bit harder, and within a tiny bit more thinking he had accidentally reeled back a forgotten nightmare.
On 11/2/22
The Boyfriend was lying in bed with his beloved girlfriend, gazing upon her black dotted eyes. He gave her a small kiss goodnight and slumped into the blanket.
Next he knew, he was in a park, taking a stroll with the love of his life. The dream was pleasant at first for Boyfriend, seeing as he was finally relaxed and free of any complications. He could only wish this dream was his reality.
But that dream reality was soon Boyfriend's worst nightmare come true.
Lush green trees, cerulean blue skies, the scene was dreamy and almost ethereal for the couple on their calming walk. Enjoying her ice-cream, Girlfriend Dearest wrapped her arms around Boyfriend. He wished this dream would never end.
"You know Boyfriend... i've always dreamt of a day like this"
"Me too babe! I never want this day to end!"
That was what he thought the dream would be, a relaxing story born from the subconscious of his mind he could indulge in whilst in a slumber. But, it played a significant role in foreshadowing the fate that befell The Boyfriend.
The birds sang, the clouds mellowed and hung on the sky, and soon would approach a man that despite being vastly different, had no changes in his role in Boyfriend's demise. Walking towards the couple with confidence and a microphone in one hand, was a guy whose face was obscured by some kind of mosaic. He stopped when he walked past Boyfriend and Girlfriend.
"Hey kid!"
Uh oh.
"Uhm.... Beep boop bop beep?"
"You! I wanna sing!"
The rest remained forgotten as the dream was ages ago; no. Actually a few weeks or so ago.
End of flashback.
Boyfriend was catatonic in shock for the past five minutes, reeling that specific dream back like a DVD being played over and over and over again. It was like somehow his subconscious mind had tried to warn him the day before. He sat on the floor, not moving an inch.
Snapping out of his shocked state, he looked up at the clock that hung up on the wall; but couldn't read what it said due to being stupid. He had just assumed it was somewhere late in the night as the room remained dark and dimly-lit.
Lazily climbing up on the sofa, he flipped over and laid on his stomach, he tossed and turned but yet he couldn't fall back into his slumber. So he did the first thing that came to mind.
"Maybe I'm just thirsty"
He got up from the couch and slowly made his way over to the kitchen, trying his best not to make a sound and wake everybody else up. They seemed to still harbor a bit of distaste for him, better for it to not become full-blown hatred.
He couldn't see all that well in the darkness of the room but he couldn't just take the lamp! What if he accidentally wakes someone up? But he felt like he had to if he wanted to not trip and fall a lot of times, but at the same time, think about whoever is asleep in the living room too! It felt like a mental poll was going on whether he should grab the lamp or not.
It seems like the latter had won due to his stupidity, he stumbled over little nooks and crannies sprawled across the floor and almost tripped on a menial CD-ROM, clearly he should've taken the lamp alongside him but anything could happen and he didn't want to risk waking someone up.
It wasn't until he actually tripped and fell over a book on the floor that he caught the attention of someone there. More specifically, a ginger with an odd shape for hair and a flashlight.
"What the fuck was that?!"
Uh oh!
Turns out, the stranger were Pico.
Pico quickly shined a light in the direction he recalled hearing it from, he caught a small glimpse at the "intruder" before it waltzed back to god knows where. Blue hair, disfigured face.... Wait a minute.
That wasn't an intruder.
That was Boyfriend!
"Hey!"
Boyfriend, after successfully fleeing the scene, made his way back to his "bed" in other words, the couch. He was just about to sneak back in when-
"Wait!"
Boyfriend was close to soiling his pants - He turned and frantically whizzed his head - trying to find the source of the very familiar voice he heard.. Then it hit him. It was Pico! To say he was worried would be quite the understatement of how he was feeling right now.
"Holy shit man! I didn't know you were in that kitchen, sorry"
Boyfriend was hoping that'd be the end of the conversation..But it wasn't.
"I don't really care, but i gotta ask ya somethin'"
"......"
".....Yea?"
"Why'd you ignore me?"
"........."
Boyfriend thought for a little bit on how he could explain his reasoning to Pico and how he thought Pico would react. But just couldn't figure out how to, and settled on a more...vague answer.
"Pico, it has nothing to do with you in particular"
He thought about what he should say next.
"I just.. Didn't want to talk at the moment"
"Yea, that's a good response."
"......Are ya sure ya ain't lying?"
"Yea- I just wasn't feeling like talking"
"....."
"'Kay then...I guess"
Boyfriend was a bit surprised but also relieved that Pico just simply... walked away without asking further questions. It seemed out of character for him but Boyfriend shrugged it off, it was a late hour after all. Maybe he was just sleep deprived.
Boyfriend sighed and laid on the couch - He could just get a drink in the morning anyways, least nothing bad happened. Thank god.
And with that...
He drifted into slumber once more.
