Whenever Kel woke up, it was bright outside. Kel knew it was the morning but he didn't mind. But then, he remembered. He had to go to his house immediately after he woke up. He immediately got his backpack and walked out of Sunny's house. He grabbed his phone out of back pocket and started to call someone. He knew it was the one person he could trust. The person he called answered immediately. (Call thingy is gonna be like the text thing.)

✨️: Kel? Why are you calling me..?

🏀: HERO! Oh my God, thank the lord that you answered...

✨️: Kel!? Is everything alright!?

🏀: Well, remember how I was at Sunny's yesterday?

✨️: Yeah?

🏀: Well, while I was there, Mom sent em a text message saying whenever I woke up. I would have to get to the house immediately and that Dad would hear about it...

✨️: No... I... I won't let them hurt you..!

🏀: But... Hero you know what happened last time you tried to defend me.

✨️: Yeah, but you're my little brother. It's my job to protect you even if they hurt me..!

🏀: But...

✨️: Please... just this once.

🏀: Fine...

✨️: Okay, tell me when you get here.

🏀: Well... I'm here.

✨️: Alright come inside, I'll be waiting in the kitchen.

Kel couldn't believe he was letting his brother defend him again. One time, Kel was getting abused and Hero walked in the room. Hero got angry and put Kel behind his back. Their parents got furious with what Hero had did and started to hit him with bottles. 'It's gonna happen again.. they're gonna hit him and then hit me and then... it's gonna be a whole cycle..' Kel thought as he opened the door and saw everyone there. He saw Hero in the Kitchen, He saw his Mom tapping her foot impatiently, and his Dad with a bottle ready. Kel sighed as he closed the door and felt something hitting his head incredibly hard. He knew the bottle hit his head bur he didn't expect to start bleeding. He felt a liquid poor from his head as he felt burning in his eyes. He knew he was bleeding and crying. Hero ran over to Kel and hugged him tightly. He wiped off the blood off of Kel's head and started to yell at his parents. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Hero yelled as he knew he was going to regret that he screamed inside but he didn't care. He wanted his little brother to be safe and that's all. "HENRY! WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU!?" Their mother screamed as she walked over to Hero and slapped him across the face. He knew his father and mother were now heavily disappointed in them but he was fed up with their bullshit. " Really..? What's gotten into me? Heh, YOUVE BEEN MENTALLY ABUSING ME FOR YEARS AND YOUVE BEEN HURTING KELSEY FOR YEARS. We're fed up with your bullshit..." Hero screamed as the father got another beer bottle and pulled Hero away from Kel. Hero knew he would get hit but whenever the bottle made no damage on Hero at all. But it made all the damage on Kel... Kel pushed Hero away and took the damage for him. "HENRY. What's the matter with you!? You need to be perfect and Kel has been a little shi-!" "NO, HE HASNT. He's perfect the way he is..! And.. we might not be good enough for you but at least we're better people than you!" Hero screamed as he pulled Kel back as Kel sobbed. Kel wanted this all to end, he wanted his life to end. 'I want this pain and suffering to end... I need it to end, if not I'll end it myself. I'll kill myself to make everyone happier, to make the pain end, to make life better for me and for everyone..!' Kel thought as he hugged onto Hero tightly. Hero knew Kel was thinking terrible, terrible, things. "Do you trust me..?" Hero asked Kel in a whisper as Kel nodded and Hero ran out door holding Kel's arm the whole time. They started to run for their lives as they heard they're parents run after them. Hero started to cry as he knew he never wanted to return to that hellhole again. It was for the best, for both of them and for everyone. They stopped at a house that was Sunny's, for some odd reason. Kel ran over to the door and started pounding on it as Hero caught his breath. Kel needed Sunny to answer immediately or else they wouldn't be alive. Sunny answered the door as he saw Kel, bleeding from the head and sobbing. He saw Hero behind him, crying where it made it harder for Hero to breathe. Sunny let them in immediately and locked to door behind them. Sunny ran over to the kitchen to find a medical kit but when he opened it, he only saw bandages. Which is exactly what he needed. He ran back with the medical kit and wrapped Kel's head gently. Kel hugged Sunny as hard as he could and Sunny hugged him back. Hero sighed and kept thanking Sunny over and over again. But that's when the happy moment turned bitter. They heard pounding on Sunny's door, knowing it was Kel and Hero's parents. Kel and Hero froze in terror as Sunny told them to go hide in his room as they did what they were told. Sunny walked over to the door and opened it to be greeted with Kel and Hero's furious parents. "Hello, Sunny. Where are they?" The mother asked as Sunny shrugged and pointed to the store down the street. "I saw them go that way, Ma'am. They came here and begged me to let them in but I refused to then they ran there." Sunny responded with lying to the two adults. The adults looked at each other smiling and thanked Sunny and left. Sunny walked up to his room to see Kel and Hero panicking. Kel started to calm down as he saw Sunny enter the room and not his parents. Kel ran over to Sunny and kissed him, Sunny was surprised to see he kissed him so quickly. Kel let go as he said words that would change their friendship forever. "SUNNY! I love you..!" Kel screamed as Sunny felt his eyes burn and knew he was crying. "I... I love you, too." Sunny responded with as Kel asked the question that would change them entirely, in a good way. "Will you... be my boyfriend?" Kel asked as Sunny nodded and they kissed again. "So uhhh, are yall gonna get a room or~?" Hero asked as Kel and Sunny pulled away from each other anf got embarrassed. "HERO." Kel screamed as Hero started to laugh. But Sunny, didn't care. He was just glad that he finally got the person he wanted after years and years of waiting. <3
