part one

"Guys stop, we're gonna get kicked out," I whisper and yelled at the two boys who were going around the mall doing the stupidest things for a few vines. Don't ask what they are, I'm not really into that social media thing. Anyways hi I'm Nova Golbach and this is my life. The two guys that are currently messing around are my brother Sam Golbach and his best friend Colby Brock. I also have a massive crush on him because well he has bright blue eyes and brown hair. He's also taller than me which makes it even better.

They're both two years older than me, which means it's their last year in school. And then I'll be left alone with my friends for the following two years. It's a week from when school started and we originally came to the mall to get school supplies such as copies, new pens and pencils and you know the rest. "Calm down Nono, we'll be fine," Colby said to me as he came over and put his arms around my shoulder. Nono was his nickname for me. I blushed at that so I looked at the trolley in front of me. "Ay dipshit, put the phone away or else you'll trip" I warned my brother who was editing the most recent video they filmed. He mumbled "give me a second" so I slapped the back of his head lightly. He raised his head and I ran away because I didn't want to be tackled by him. I went and hid in the Isle of the nappies because he wouldn't think I'd be there. I peeked around the corner into the main Isle only to see them looking for me. Colby turned his head towards my Isle and I know for a fact he knew where I was. I backed up from there to change isles but ad I got to the end I bumped into someone "gotcha" Colby yelled in victory as he started tickling me. " Colby stop," I said in between giggles.

After what seemed like an eternity he stopped and I faced him. I had to look up to see his face while he looked down to see mine. "You smell good," I said as I was able to smell his cologne from the small distance between us. "You don't smell that bad either," he said looking down at my lips and then back to my eyes. Our faces moved closer and closer but we got interrupted "Finally I found you guys, I've been looking everywhere," my brother said out of breath. "Did you run a marathon or something," I responded while I moved away from Colby so Sam wouldn't see that we were hugging since he was hunched down. Nice way to ruin a good moment Sam. I could've kissed my childhood crush.  "Yeah dude you smell bad," Colby added which made me laugh.

"No I don't" Sam offensively responded as he smelled his armpits. Quite disgusting may I say so myself. After that, we went to get the school supplies. I always went with pastel-themed things but I've noticed that I've been changing to a more dark-themed style in everything. For example, my favourite colour was pastel baby blue, and now it's dark maroon, I've been wearing bright coloured and white clothes, but currently, I'm wearing black leggings with Sam's yellow and black striped shirt. May I say it is so so oversized on me?

"Black," Sam questioned, as I went to get black copies from the shelves, "Yeah, what's wrong with it," I asked confused. "Nothing you just always went with colourful colours, not dark colours" he explained. " just trying new styles," I said as I looked over at Colby choosing blue copies. The normal from him.

When we paid for our stuff Colby drove us home and he came and stayed over for a while.
