Jake confidently strides to the door that I saw the goddess and Kirk, the two had vanished since I last saw them, and he knocks. He smiles brightly at me, his childish anticipation incredibly evident.
As if in a horror film the doors glide open revealing a relatively large room with all the leisurely activities you might think rockstars might enjoy. On the right side towards the walls sits a bar surrounded by sasquatch sized men and a smaller man clad in jeans with a blazer, all looking over a myriad of papers not legible from the doorway. On the wall adjacent to the door were two brown leather couches with a perfect view of the pool table in the middle of the room.
"Mark! They're here." A bouncer from behind the door announces in the direction of the small businessman.
Instantly he looks up and smiles, clapping his hands then widening them in a welcoming stance. "Aha! There you are! I'm mark, I am the manager. Come on in, please, please! This is the band," he blasts through their names " just sit down make yourself comfortable, you've got about" he glances down to his comically large wristwatch, "twenty-ish minutes."
Jake and I greet all the guys in a row, then sink into into the couch setting my tape recorder down. Right as you go to press record kirk reaches out to mark and whispers discreetly into his ear. Marks nods, "One request for the questions..."
"Yeah, anything. We never want to push too much or make you guys uncomfortable at all, any request is welcome and will totally be respected. Scouts honour!" he chuckles and smiles at the end, Kirk visibly relaxes but still looks over to mark to deliver the request.
"Don't mention relationships or ask if they know about whatever the 'fallen angel'" he said sternly.
Now, I am intrigued.
A thud is heard from the corner, giant metal exit doors clam shut with the blonde beauty wincing from the sound. She looks up meekly, then sends a smile that melts warmly into everyone's souls.
So intrigued.
