Warm strokes of light hit my face as the sun started to peak through the dense tree crowns. I took another sip of my herbal tee, admiring the outstanding scenery of the forest.

Vegetation of Sumeru was always so beautiful to me. The lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals, in which I could spend hours in, admiaring and studying everything I could find.

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to study in the akademiya. If not it I'd probably never be able to experience this beauty.

As I turned to take another sip of my bewerage, a sight of an envelope brought me back to reality.
Right. The views almost made me forget about it. The letter send to me by the fatui. A proposition for me to work for them.

Finishing the akademiya I never even thought about something like this happening to me. I know I'm talented, but a job offer just flying to me on its own? The more I think about it the more suspicious it gets. But I guess they just seen my genius and decided that they want me on their side. Smart move.

The proposition itself seems rather nice. Working as a medical assistant for one of the harbingers. Even tho I could easily become a doctor by myself, I think it would be rather limiting. Just studying in the akademiya, I noticed that most of the people didn't particularly like my ideals. And with the current set of rules in Sumeru that job would be quite boring to be honest.
As for the fatui, they promised not to limit my research, as long as it helps them of course, which is a big plus in my book. That was always something I found really annoying studying.

The only thing that leaves me questioning this offer, is the person I'm supposed to work under.

Dottore, the second of the fatui harbingers.

There isn't a lot known about him. All the information I found were just rumors. And not very nice ones I may add.

From all I gathered, he was crazy. Straight up gone. A psycho that wouldn't let anything to get in the way of his plans.

But that are all rumors, which can't be fully trusted. I really hope that they are only rumors. I know I have a screw or two loose, but damn this guy seems like a full on mad man. And I don't know if I'm willing to work alongside a psycho.

The only trust worthy information I got on him, isn't making him look any better. Asking around the akademiya I found out that he has been expelled, and looking in the archives I seen some notes about suspecting him of murdering someone named Sohreh.

Psychotic murderer, expelled from the akademiya, known for how brutal he can get with his experients. Oh isn't he just so lovely...

But the offer it's just to great to pass. Even tho I love it here in Sumeru, I miss my homeland. The rainforests here look amazing, but they've got nothing on snowy landscapes of Snezhnaya. And, oh, how I miss the mornings looking out the window at the snow shimmering in the sun, with a cup of the best hot cocoa you could find in the entire Teyvat. I'd miss the warmth of Sumeru tho. It could sometimes  get really annoying, especially when I was just laying down doing absolutely nothing and still sweating like a pig. But not having to wear five layers of clothes everytime you go out is rather nice.

Plus, since I was a kid I always dreamed to be working for her Majesty, the cryo archon. Now that I have the chance to do so I can't just pass it, even if it means working under some crazy guy.
