Streaks of weak, bluish light flew through my window greeting me as I opened my eyes. I got up, reluctantly leaving the warmth of my duvet, in order to silence the annoying noise left by my alarm clock.
Once the beeping stopped I stretched letting out a long yawn.

Before I continued my morning routine I glanced over at the window. The glass was covered in beautiful patterns left there by the cold weather. The frost took over most of the window not leaving a lot of space to look out of, but that wasn't a problem since the sun hasn't risen yet, leaving only the soft moonlight to lit up the place.

Even tho the only thing I saw through the fogged up window was snow lightly glimmering bathed in the light of the moon, the view still was beautiful to me. Such a simple thing, just some sparkling white fluff, yet it holds a special place in my heart. It's been years since I last seen it.

Well, working for the fatui this view will be greeting me nearly every day. Winters in Snezhnaya are long and harsh, and the snow hardly ever leaves the frozen soil.

I took one last glance through the window, and went to the bathroom to begin my routine.
After few minutes I finished getting ready, and the only thing left was to eat some breakfast.

Ready to start the day I walked out of my room heading straight to the common kitchen. It wasn't hard to notice that someone was already there, as a sound of a conversation could be heard.

I couldn't help to get a bit anxious, a first impression is rather important so I don't want to mess it up. I'd like to have more friends here then I had at the akademiya.

As soon as I stepped into the room, the conversation stopped and two pairs of eyes pierced through me. One pair belonging to a young woman, with curly ginger hair contrasting with her dark complexion. And the other, to a middle aged man, with streaks of white contrasting his dark hair, and freckles scattered across his tired face. His ears also appeared to be more pointy, at least one of them, the other had a chunk missing.

Golden eyes of the lady examined me with excitement, as she stood up to greet me, while the man turned to take a sip of his bewerage.

"Oh my, hello!" She spoke happily, while coming up to me "You must be the new assistant! Oh I have so many questions for you, you don't even know." Smiling she extended her hand

"Oh umm, hi." Her enthusiastic reaction threw me off guard "I'm y/n" I said shaking her hand

"Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Nova, and this grump here is Stanley" Saying that she pointed to the man sitting by the table "He's not much of an early bird, but he gets more talkative after a while. Right Stan?"

"Mhm"

"Yeah... Anyways, I'm very happy to meet you y/n. Here let me show you around the kitchen, you must be hungry."

"Oh, thank you Nova." I answered still a bit startled

"No problem."

Saying that she began to show me where everything was. With that new knowledge I began to prepare my breakfast, as Nova sat back to continue hers.

I decided to make scrambled eggs, as they're simple and quick. As I took out one of the pans, Nova began to speak again.

"Soo, which harbinger do you work for? There are few that still are missing an assistant." Before I even had the chance to answer she continued" Oh oh oh, let me guess!! Columbina was looking for an assistant, or maybe Capitano, he recently lost one. Poor Greg he will be remembered."
