'Thinking'
"Talking"
POV/Location/Time
Your POV
"Now then! Shall we get something to eat?" You clapped your hands together.
"Sounds good." Panda began walking away with Inumaki following, but my gut told me to check on Maki.
My intuition was right, "Actually, I think we should tend to Maki's broken ribs."
"Wait, broken ribs?!" Panda swung around and rushed to her side.
"Yes, broken ribs." You pinched the bridge of your nose, "Did I not say those exact words?"
Maki chuckled at your annoyed expression, winching a little from it, "I would say I don't believe in karma, but I have a feeling you'll encounter it a lot."
"That seems to be my running trend." You followed nonchalantly behind the panicked Panda and Inumaki as they rushed Maki to the infirmary, "I get powers, they seal, I meet Gojo, I die, I meet that emo kid who I forgot the name of, I meet the king of curses. That doesn't feel like karma though, that just feels like plot.'
Narrator POV
While Panda and Inumaki carried the injured Maki towards the infirmary, our protagonist had decided to split off from the group and fully explore the grounds of Jujutsu High. Consequently, he finally got a true tour of the school grounds without any yellow tape barring his way as it constantly had. But for us, we will focus on the love interest due to the magical powers called storyline.
Panda set Maki on one of the infirmary's beds and left with Inumaki abandoning Maki as well. She sat up slowly wanting to leave but of course it would not turn out in her favor as her body screamed out in pain, the adrenaline unfortunately leaving her system and forcing her to return to a lying position. She hated it, the inability to do something to occupy her. Why she hated it? It gave time for her personal demons to catch up to her and tear her mentally apart. She seemed okay on the outside but that had never been the case as she slowly slipped away, distraught by her actions and the desire to change them. As she stared at the ceiling, the door to the infirmary creaked open and a familiar charming voice spoke from behind it.
"Do I have permission to enter Maki?" (Y/N)'s voice was gentle this time around, calm and comforting.
"You do." She hissed at the sudden sharp pain hitting her chest.
The door opened further and (Y/N) entered the room, bringing a chair to her bedside.
"I want to apologize for hurting you." He hung his head low, "I'm truly sorry."
"You're annoying." Maki whispered to avoid the pain, "Bastard."
"Wha?" His head shot up with a shocked expression.
"You're annoying." She said slightly louder, "Bastard."
"No, I heard you clearly the first time." The shocked expression on his face was replaced with a teasing grin, "I have a proposition."
Maki said nothing and scanned his face carefully, her eyes dwelling on the diagonal scar across his face for a moment.
"It's nothing too evil. Just a favor." His teasing look became serious, "I give you something now, you give me something later."
Maki sighed lightly and caved in, "Alright."
"Excellent!" (Y/N) smiled widely, "Now then, if my suspicions are correct, I should be able to do... this."
He stood, dusted himself off and adjusted his tie before extending his hand. Twisting his hand so that it rested on each broken rib, Maki was enveloped in a dim light as it slowly got more intense and the pain in her abdomen increased rapidly.
"What are you doing?!" Maki twisted as the pain in her body got more intense.
"Stay still or I could affect something else!" (Y/N) ordered, "I could kill you if this goes wrong!"
Maki stopped writhing in pain and forced herself to steel through it. The process continued for several more minutes as the light grew to be blinding, but it suddenly disappeared as did the pain.
"Finished!" (Y/N) stepped back and looked at Maki as if he just discovered the cure to cancer.
"What did you do?" Maki touched her ribs to encounter nothing, not even the slightest of aching.
"I accelerated your time, or more specifically your ribcage's." He said bluntly, "I just discovered that I can do practically anything for someone as long as I give out a favor. It does have to be repaid though or else your chest would probably spontaneously break."
Maki could do nothing but just sit there in shock as she processed what he had just said. He can accelerate time?!
"How can you accelerate time?!" She grabbed his suit's collar.
"Hey!" He pushed her off of him, "Don't touch the fabrics, they were expensive."
"Like hell they are!" She pushed him down to the ground and got on top of him, earning only a seductive smile from him.
"I didn't know you were into that." He chuckled teasingly, "At least get naked first."
"WHAT?!" Maki jumped off of him a sudden blushing mess, "NO I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT YOU BASTARD!"
"Are you sure?!" He stood from the floor, "I could strip right no-"
Maki turned around and decked (Y/N) in the jaw. The man groaned slightly as he rubbed his jaw.
"Now I do like that in a wom-" Maki punched him again in the gut with nearly the same force as he had during their sparring match, "Not that though..."
He collapsed to the floor clutching his stomach, "I regret my actions now..." His voice was barely a whisper.
"Bastard." Maki huffed and left the room annoyed.
But something else was tugging at her, a butterfly in her stomach, a flickering warmth whenever she thought about him.
"...Gah!" She turned around and walked back into the infirmary over to (Y/N) who was still on his knees rubbing his lower abdomen, "Come on bastard."
(Y/N) looked up to see Maki's hand extended out for him to grab. He eyed her suspiciously.
"I didn't come back for you to just ignore me." Maki snapped.
"Oh, so you do love me." Once again, that cheeky smirk washed over his face, "Awww..."
"JUST GRAB IT!" Maki shouted.
(Y/N) grabbed her hand as she helped him up. She then immediately pulled her hand away as he proceeded to stretch.
"You're annoying, you know that right (Y/N)?"
"It just makes me all the more irresistible darling."
"D-Don't call me that!"
"A stutter! I'm making progress!"
