The following day Soobin had decided to give Yeonjun the benefit of the doubt, and while he didn't ask Yoongi and Jungkook to watch Yeonjun, he did ask them to check in on him during the day. That had been a good plan because once again Yeonjun had gone to the company to practice. The older duo had found him in a similar state that Jimin and Taehyung had found him in the day before. Needless to say, since Yeonjun wasn't allowing himself to rest, he was getting worse. Soobin, not wanting to impose any further on BTS' busy schedule, decided to go with Beomgyu's idea and get help from their label mates.
That brings the group to now. A day later standing in front of the dorm where the members of Seventeen live. Soobin and Taehyun are in front ready to knock on the door, while Beomgyu and Kai are holding up Yeonjun, who is holding a bucket against his chest. Soobin knocked on the door, somewhat anxiously waiting to speak to members of a group he hasn't had much interaction with.
The members of Seventeen were spread out through the dorm enjoying the beginning of their day off, when they heard a knock on the door. Seungcheol furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as stood up to answer the door, wondering if there was something happening their manager neglected to tell them about.
He was a bit stunned when he saw four members of TXT standing at the door. Not entirely knowing how to approach the situation, all he said was, "Can I help you?" The one he recognized as the leader, Soobin nodded his head. "Um, yes. Jungkook hyung texted Mingyu sunbaenim that we'd be stopping by?" He said as a question, nervousness lacing his voice. Seungcheol sighed. "Mingyu, did Jungkook tell you that TXT was going to stop by?" The leader yelled into the dorm before turning his attention back to the group at the door.
"Yeah, hyung. He said something about them needing a babysitter or something." Mingyu hollered back. Before Seungcheol could ask the group for clarification on what Minhyu meant by babysitter, he heard a fairly loud retch followed by liquid falling into what sounded like some kind of plastic container. Soobin and Taehyun parted slightly, revealing Yeonjun being held up as he puked into a bucket.
"So, um. Yeonjun has had this stomach bug for the past week and when left unattended he keeps going to the company to practice, which just makes him worse. We have promotions that we need to attend, and I was wondering if you could watch him to make sure he actually gets some rest?" Seungcheol opened the door further to let the group in and they brought Yeonjun over to the couch before the four other members quickly left. Seungcheol quickly grabbed a trash can and swapped out the sick bucket so he could clean it.
Once he returned, the leader was met with the confused faces of his members. "So, this is Yeonjun from TXT and he's sick and apparently refused to rest properly, so we're going to watch him today." The majority of the members did not look the slightest bit thrilled to be on babysitting duty on their day off. However there was one member that was one hundred percent willing to be on babysitting duty.
Seokmin stood up from where he was sitting and approached Yeonjun. "I'll watch him hyung" Seungcheol nodded and helped the the younger bring the sickie to Seokmin's bedroom. Seokmin asked Seungcheol to grab the thermometer and medicine for him while he looked after the younger. Seungcheol returned rather quickly with the items, then left the 97 liner with Yeonjun.
The first thing Seokmin did was take the younger's temperature and he frowned at the number. "Yeonjun, exactly how long have you been sick?" Yeonjun looked down as he answered. "I've been sick for about a week." Yeonjun groaned and grabbed his abdomen as it began to cramp up. "Well, you still have a pretty decent fever, so-" Seokmin was cut off when the younger began gagging into his fist. He quickly grabbed the bucket, which now had a trash bag in it, and held it underneath the sick man's head.
Seokmin stood there for a solid minute, holding the bucket while Yeonjun expelled the contents of his stomach. "Have some water and rinse your mouth out." Yeonjun did as he was told, then moved his body so that he was lying down on the bed. "Do you want to try taking some medicine, Yeonjun?" Seokmin asked. He was met with silence and became slightly concerned until he heard some soft snores from the younger. Seokmin decided to go to his desk and play some computer games while the younger napped.
It was nearing lunch time, and Seokmin was getting peckish. He also knew that he needed to wake the younger up and try to get some food into him, but he didn't want to leave Yeonjun alone in an unfamiliar place. He took out his phone and texted Minghao, asking him to make soup or something that would be gentle on the stomach and bring it to his room.
A few seconds later Seokmin heard some frantic knocking on his door. He opened it to reveal a very concerned looking Minghao. "Relax Hao, I'm not the one that's sick." He opened his door further to show Yeonjun beginning to stir from his nap.
"Can you watch him for a couple minutes while I get us some food? I don't want him to wake up alone in an unfamiliar place." Minghao nodded and Seokmin left the room. Minghao hadn't actually been present when Yeonjun had arrived because he was still sleeping. Therefore, Seokmin asking him to bring food was actually the first he had heard of there being someone sick in the dorm. The other members had neglected to tell him about it.
He also had somehow missed the sick bucket that was sitting on the floor next to the bed, and wasn't expecting it when he heard gagging coming from the man on the bed. His attention snapped to the sick 99 liner as he tried to maneuver his body so his head was over the bucket. Minghao reacted quickly and moved the bucket just in time for the sick man to begin puking. He swore in Chinese as he awkwardly began patting the younger's back
Once Yeonjun finished puking, he looked up and took in his surroundings. He felt a hand use a tissue to wipe his mouth before he fully registered that there was someone else in the room. He sat up straighter and looked to the person that was in the room with him. "I'm sorry sunbaenim, I don't remember your name." Yeonjun said. He vaguely remembered Soobin telling him he'd be spending the day with Seventeen, but he currently couldn't recall any of their names for the life of him. "I'm Minghao, and you can call me hyung." The Chinese member had said.
The duo sat in silence for a few minutes until Seokmin returned with a tray of food. A bowl of soup for Yeonjun and some food for himself. "Ok Yeonjun, I brought some chicken soup for you to eat. I would at the very least like you to drink some of the broth if you don't think you can eat the food itself." He then looked over to Minghao. "Did he throw up at all while I was getting food." Minghao nodded in response. "Yeah, he threw up right after waking up.
Seokmin frowned at this. "Yeonjun, you said you've been sick for a week at this point. You should be getting better by now, but you've already thrown up at least three times today. Do you think you need a doctor?" the 97 liner asked. Yeonjun shook his head as he tried a bite of the soup.
"It's my fault hyung. Instead of staying home and resting, I left the dorm to get practice in as soon as my members left. Hence why you're babysitting me." The two 97 liners gave each other knowing looks, having dealt with this kind of behavior before.
"Yeah, you're not leaving this room except to use the bathroom until your members come pick you up. If you want to watch something to pass the time I can set something up on my computer." Seokmin said. Yeonjun nodded as he continued to slowly eat his soup.
A couple hours later, there was a knock on the bedroom door. Seokmin opened it to reveal the other four members of TXT. "Hyung didn't cause much trouble did he?" Soobin asked as he walked into the room. Both Seokmin and Minghao shook their heads. "I think not listening to his body wore him out. He took a decently long nap and then we watched tv after lunch. While we were watching some dramas, he was dozing on and off. He did throw up a couple more times though." Seokmin responded.
Seungcheol stopped them just before they left the dorm. "We have schedules tomorrow, so if Yeonjun is still sick, we can't look after him. However, I'm like ninety eight percent sure that Nu'Est hyungs are off tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure that they'd be willing to watch him." Soobin handed Seungcheol his phone to get Aron's number while Yeonjun was complaining about how his members were treating him like an invalid.
"Hyung, we wouldn't be treating you like an invalid if you had been taking care of yourself from the beginning." Yeonjun shut up at Kai's response to his whining, and the five members left for their own dorm.
