The processional was about to start and Alvin could see the beads of sweat on Gerona's face. He wondered how does waiting for the love of your life and the girl of your dreams at the altar. He could only imagine the mixed emotions he would feel.
Gerona walked towards the line since the wedding organizer was giving him the cue already. As the wedding organizer signaled the pianist to play, music started playing.
Gerona tried to smile for the camera but it was obvious how nervous he was. It was weird for Alvin to see the goofy Gerona be this nervous guy. Parang magkaibang tao yung nakilala niya nung isang araw sa bachelor's party nito.
Along the line, he could see Lara's brown skin peeking from behind several bridesmaids. Hindi pa niya kita ang mukha nito pero alam na niya agad na katangi-tangi ang kagandahan nito. Nakaramdam na nga siya ng kaba dahil baka hindi niya kayanin ang kagandahan ng kaibigan niya kapag nakita niya ito.
Alvin just stood there together with the crowd, listening to the instrumental tune of Paramore's The Only Exception, as the bridesmaids walk down the aisle.
When it was Lara's turn, Alvin's eyes were glued on her ethereal beauty. The blue off-shoulders dress complemented her dark skin and petite build. He could see the little butterfly clip attached on her hair from the pew where he's standing from. It made him smile and his heart flutter.
Lara returned the smile to him and it felt like all the butterflies in his tummy went out and flew around her. That was when Alvin understood what Gerona must've felt waiting for his lovely muse at the altar.
