When Youngjoon moved into the dorm, he was actually kind of nervous. Who wouldn't be nervous moving into a household where everyone else has been living together for over a year. Not to mention it had only been a couple of months since one of the members had left the group, and he was slightly afraid that there was going to be misplaced negative emotions toward him. While it had been a little awkward for a couple of days, Youngjoon quickly acclimated to the chaos and he seemed to get along rather well with all of his new hyungs and dongsaeng.
However, there was something that Youngjoon was noticing. Even though he was getting along rather well with the group, there were several nights where the other six would leave the dorm together to go do something and it was clear that he wasn't invited to whatever it was they were doing. When they would leave Seungbo or Yunho would tell him that they were leaving for a few hours and not to expect them back until late. Those nights he wound up eating dinner alone. He wanted to ask if he could tag along or why he wasn't invited, but at the same time felt that it would be rude to try to intrude on a tradition that they'd been doing before he arrived. He ultimately decided to wait and see if they'd invite him eventually.
While it is true that there was an activity that the other Kingdom members weren't including Youngjoon in, it wasn't for a lack of trying, or respect, or anything like that. The members were leaving the dorm to the company building, so that Sungho and Yoosung could regress for a couple of hours. Even though the group had been doing these weekly regressions for the past three months, Sungho was having some trouble being able to freely regress. It would take almost an hour before Sungho would be able to properly regress. And once he was regressed, he became convinced that he was breaking his rules that had been discarded and it would take a bit to calm him down. It did help that Yoosung was actively regressed to show him that he wasn't breaking any rules, but it had been decided that the group wasn't going to include Youngjoon until Sungho became more comfortable regressing around others.
Kingdom's comeback was right around the corner and tensions were running a bit high. The group had been doing a fair amount of international travel recently and all the members were a bit nervous about how well the group's first comeback with the new line-up would be. Essentially, with how packed their schedules have been, the weekly regressions have been put to the wayside. Both Yoosung and Sungho were understanding. Heck, Sungho was the first to suggest that they pause the sessions for a couple of weeks in favor of being fully prepared for the comeback. In the meantime, the two littles did their best to do partial regressions in their rooms until they had the time for full regression with caregivers.
The most recent dance practice practice could have gone better. Seungbo had been called into an urgent meeting and Yunho was currently sidelined for an ankle injury and was told not to do any dancing on his leg until the comeback. Meanwhile Sungho and Yoosung were spacier than usual, a clear indicator that they needed to regress, but none of the others knew what to look for, since until now, they'd been on top of their schedule. Essentially, Dongsik, Jihun, and Youngjoon were the only ones properly practicing and everyone was frustrated.
The song they were currently practicing ended, and the group broke for water. The group moved over to the couch where Yunho was sitting and sat down. "Guys, I think we should hold off on practice until hyung is back from his meeting. With two people out it didn't look good. Also, Yoosung and Sungho, are you guys feeling okay? You were both missing cues that you normally have no problem hitting." Yunho commented since he was watching the group so he could give comments on the practice even though he himself couldn't dance.
"We're fine, hyung. We stayed up a bit late playing video games, so we're both a bit tired." Yoosung said. Dongsik and Youngjoon confirmed that neither Sungho nor Yoosung had been in their room the previous night. They looked over to Sungho, who was drinking from his water bottle. "Hmm, yeah, playing video games, just tired." The group fell into silence as they drank their water.
