Jericho - New England
Y/N and Wednesday could be seen hiding in the bushes of Jericho's coroner, waiting on Thing to open the door. The two were dressed in stealthy black gear, with Wednesday carrying tools often used during an autopsy.
Earlier that day, reports came across of another death out in the forest. Apparently, the body was found in the old meeting house that the pair had been in the previous day.
"So, about the upcoming Rave'N dance," Y/N whispered. "Is it off the table entirely or shall we just say you're thinking about it?"
"I would much rather spend the night away from prying eyes," Wednesday replied.
"Right... I get that, but this only happens once a year... and this is the first one I'm here for!"
"Keep your voice down!" Y/N mumbled an apology. "But if it means that much to you... I'll go."
"Yes! I'll thank you later," Y/N winked, giving Wednesday the familiar feeling of butterflies. The gate began to open. "Let's go."
Y/N let Wednesday through first, covering the gate so she didn't hit her head, and followed after her. Thing closed the gate behind them and they all got to work.
"While I do the autopsy," Wednesday began talking to the hand. "Y/N'll search the other rooms and you'll find the files of the monster's other victims and make copies... I don't care if you think Y/N has the easier job... no, it's not because he's my boyfriend... just get the job done."
"See you in a minute," Y/N kissed her cheek before disappearing with Thing through the doors.
Thing went into the copy room whilst Y/N went down the corridor, searching for something related to the case. He went door by door, finding closets and bathrooms until he stumbled upon a larger room housing a microphone and dozens of TVs. One of them was blacked out with some gooey substance. This must be the security room.
Y/N switched to the camera in the morgue, where he left Wednesday, and spoke into the mic.
"Boo!" He giggled to himself, not knowing the reaction of the girl. "It's me, Y/N. FYI, I found the security room."
He rewound the camera, finding the time the coroner was examining the new body. Curiously, the footage had the sound removed leaving Y/N clueless as to what the man was saying. He did, however, catch the fact that the coroner carefully removed the left foot of the victim and stuck it in a biohazard freezer at the side of the room.
"What the fuck..." Y/N groaned, watching the footage again. There was a sudden pulling on his leg, causing him to yelp in fear and kick out wildly, accidentally sending Thing flying through the doors. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!"
Thing angrily barged back through the door, signing about an approaching vehicle and that they need to warn Wednesday. Y/N quickly activated the mic on the room, hoping it actually worked and told his girlfriend of the coming danger.
Y/N and Thing waited what felt like an eternity, but in reality, was five minutes for the voices down the hall to disappear. Once they did, Y/N rushed ahead and called out to Wednesday, hoping they didn't find her and take her away.
There was a muffled 'in here' from the wall of the morgue holding the dead bodies.
"She did not hide in there with a corpse," Y/N said beginning to search, with Thing's help, each door until he found Wednesday. "Well, hello there Corpse Bride."
His face hovered over Wednesday's, who was laying on the slide-out bed used to store bodies.
"Join me, it's highly unpleasant," Wednesday smiled, tugging on Y/N's coat pocket.
