Chapter 0: Part 5 - Feels like nothing's changed

New dawn, new day!! Unfortunately for them, this morning is everything but ordinary. After a night of intense drinking, it's no surprise these people are in complete shambles. But nevertheless, Rory and Kayden stop at nothing to drag everyone out of the house. Some of them show signs of excitement for a breath of fresh air, while others... hold onto their complaints.

As they walk through, the trail branches off in several directions that lead further into the forest. Trees ominously shadow these paths, creating what look like dozens of tunnels relentlessly plunging into darkness. Most of them are inaccessible, consequence of the thick barb-wired fence surrounding the perimeter of the woods, laced with metallic beams that make tearing it down practically impossible— by normal means at least. Kayden and Rory take the lead, since the latter knows this forest like the palms of his hands. The others, oblivious and curious, can do nothing but follow.

Amina: "Ughhhh!! Why are we hereeee....??" - She groans, usual for her hot and cold nature.
Rory: "We're paying the woods a visit!! Don't you like walking?"
Amina: "Not in this freezing cold, I don't! Answer my question.
Rory: "What question?" - He taunts.
Amina: "Why the fuck are we here in the first place!?"
Rory: "I just told you! But in case ya missed it, we're here cuz we've only got another day before the mission! And what better way to sober up than exploring the woods with your mates?"
Amina: "Staying in bed and sleeping. Asshole."
Rory: "Ewwww you sleep with your frieeends?? Weirdoooo!"
Amina: "Rory, you're such a fucking prick."
Rory: "Call me what you'd like, but since your blonde arse is out o'bed already, you might as well tag along and enjoy the morning air while it lasts, eh? Not gonna have all this tomorrow. Besides, we wanna have a butcher's at something."

Amina: "We? Who's we?" - She barks. "Last time I checked, the one that pulled us out of bed was a single retard called Rory fucking Hayes!"
Rory, smirking: "Right, that's not very nice, sweetheart!"
Kayden: "I plead guilty."
Amina: "Ooooohh riiiight!!! Of course you had something to do with this." - She turns to him with the intent to kill. "I'm such an idiot for thinking this was Rory's idea. I should skin you both alive."

Rory: "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed, did ya?"
Amina: "I woke up. That's the issue."
Rory: "Well, deal with it just this once and I'll make it up to ya. Oh! And another condition too, stop calling me stupid names."
Amina: "How are they stupid if they're true?"
Rory: "Debatable."
Amina: "Definitely not."
Rory: "Come on blondie, follow the rules! You call me names, I take the piss out of ya! You don't get both."
Amina: "That's not how this works! Don't talk like you have the right to make any rules!"
Rory: "Booooo-hoo! I just did!"
Amina: "You are actually insufferable." - She groans, pinching her eyes.
Rory: "Shed me some tears, yeah?"
Kayden: "..."

Rory's words echo through his mind. Zach was kinder when he wasn't around... Reyna and Mell made a cute couple... How will he keep himself in check without Reyna... He's digging his own grave by blaming himself.... Yeah, right. Like taking responsibilities is ever gonna kill him. His entire life has been spent suffocating in them. They're just part of another day.
