Chapter 0: Part 5 - Feels like nothing's changed

New morning, new day!! That's what you'd normally say if you weren't hungover from a night with enough powerful drinks to tip over an entire herd of mammoths, or something like that.
It's no surprise these people are in complete shambles.
But of course, that doesn't stop Rory and Kayden from getting everyone out of the house.

Path behind Rory's house, that leads into the forest.

Amina: "Ughhhhhh!! Why are we hereeee....." She groans. Unusual for her calm nature.

The path they're walking on has half a dozen turns into the forest. Tree branches ominously shadow the paths below them, creating what looks like several tunnels that lead into darkness. Most of them are blocked off by a barb wired fence that runs around the perimeter of the woods. Billy and Rory take the lead since they know this forest like the back of their hands. Kayden and the others follow.

Rory: "We're paying the woods a visit!! Don't you like walking?"
Amina: "Not in this cold, I don't. Why the fuck are we going there in this freezing cold?!"
Rory: "Cuuuz we only have another day of break before going out into the open, and what better way to sober up than a walk like this one?"
Amina: "Staying in bed and sleeping asshole."
Rory: "Wrong!! Besides, there's something we wanna check out."
Amina: "Who's we?" She barks.

Kayden: "Me and Rory."
Amina: "Oh, of course you have something to do with this. I should skin you all alive."

Kayden doesn't respond.

Mell: "Hey girl, take it easy." She unsuccessfully attempts to settle Amina down.
Amina: "Or what? You wanna join them in my collection of heads?"
Rory: "Sheeeeesh, someone's mad!! You have to catch me to get my skulll~" He sticks his tongue out at her.
Amina: "Why you little... COME HERE!!!" She yells as she chases him ahead of their friends.
Rory: "HAHA!! No way you plan to catch me with those lousy movements girl! No skull for you!!" He taunts.

Amina takes a deep breath and focuses.
That's when Mell taps her on the shoulder.
Mell: "If you kill Rory, no drinks for a year."
Amina instantly stops and turns to Mell.
"Tch. Fine. I'll do it whenever you aren't around."
Billy: "HUHH?? SINCE WHEN DOES SHE WORK LIKE THAT????"

Mell: "Believe me, you'd be surprised of how often it happens." Mell sighs as she walks alongside Reyna, who's relatively quiet.

Reaching the main entrance of the forest unfortunately reveals that, it too, has been obstructed. Diverse branches, sunk into the dirt itself, barricade their only access into the woods.

Billy: "Damnit. What now? There's no way for us to get inside."
Mell: "We could try squeezing through those gaps in the logs."
Billy: "Nah. They're too tight together, there's no way all of us can get through there. Plus, the fence is also here."
Mell: "We could stack some things up to get over."
Reyna: "And get shredded by the glorified cattle imprisioning wire up there? Think I'll pass."
Amina: "We could always throw Rory onto the fence and climb over his encarcerated, slashed and carved up body."
Rory: "Geeeez gimme a break scientist!! A walk ain't gonna kill ya."
Amina: "I have a list of reasons why I want to kill you." She huffs.

Reyna, Mell and Billy grow smiles at Rory and Amina's blissful interaction. It's a thing that's been happening between them recently. They display their energy to each other very interestingly. That's when Kayden steps in.

Kayden: "Hey. I know a way in."
Mell: "Uhhh since when??" She questions, almost as if sarcastically. "There's no way you're aware of anything around here."
Kayden: "That's right. I've never really been back here before."
Mell: "My point exactly! So what do you mean you know a way in? Where is it? When did you find it?"
Kayden: "Don't stress it so much Dora, I have a hunch. Come on." He turns back towards the house.
Mell: "What the-- DORA!?!? HEY, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!! KAYDEN!! COME BACK!!" Her attempts are unfruitful. "UGHHHH!!! The hell's up with your prince charming!?" She turns to Reyna.
