1. The day we met

POV Layla

I woke up panting and holding my hand to my heart like I do ever time I have that dream. I look at my phone to see that it's 5:00 am and since I can't sleep anymore I decide to just get up and ready for school. I walk to my closet and get the outfit I had ready out. The outfit I chose was a black basic top and white skirt with my black combat boots. After getting changed into my clothes I go to the bathroom and do my skin care routine then brush my teeth.

When I open my door I hear my older brother Mason yell for us to hurry up or we're going to be late for are first day of school.

" Come on Mason you know you yelling at us won't make us go any faster. " I tell him from on top of the stairs before walking to my twin brother's room to knock.

"Jackson hurry up or I'm leaving with out you" I tell him before walking down the stairs when Jackson door opens

" You wouldn't leave without me Ly." Jackson says with a smile on his face while hugging me you see out of the two of us he's the nicer one who loves physical contact and loves being in the spotlight as well but me I have a small circle of friends, hate physical contact, and hate being in the spotlight were the complete opposite, even are friends always ask how we're twins because were the complete opposite of each other.

" You're right I wouldn't I'll just grab you by your ear instead an drag you out of the house so we won't be late to school now come on Jax let's go " I tell him as I'm walking down the stairs with him behind me knowing that I'm telling the truth

" We wouldn't be late if someone woke up on time and didn't take his precious time getting ready " Mason says while looking at Jackson knowing that Jackson finished all the hot water again this morning which means Mason had to end up taking a cold one

Jackson just looks back at him and says" Sorry Mace did you have to take a cold shower again."

"Shut up Jax before I make you sit in the backseat. " Mace says while smirking at him.

I just laugh at my brothers and walk down the driveway to our black Jeep and other cars " Come on let's go you two. I don't want to be late we still have time to get there before the bell rings for first period " I tell them before getting into are black Jeep and starting the engine, while playing my favorite song at the moment afraid by the Neighborhood

We got to the school parking lot and I parked the car by my best friends Vanessa Car. Mason got out first then me and Jackson.

We walked into the school and everyone was looking at us like always we got use to it being super rich, considering our mom is a famous fashion designer and are dad is a billionaire businessman.

I ignore everyone and just walk to my two best friends Vanessa and Samantha the only reason we stayed friends for this long is because where always there for each other.

For example when Sami's ex cheated on her Vee beat the crap out of her or when Vee was getting picked on in middle school by Stacy Marano about being little bit bigger than the other girls I punched her in the nose but they were also there for me when I was going through things that's how our friend group works were always there for each other no matter what

" Hey Vee, Sami excited about are junior year " I ask while opening my locker to put the first aid kit I brought away and a extra pair of clothes knowing how our group of friends are. I thought it's better to be prepared then sorry with them.

" Since there only two more years until we leave this hell hole I'm excited. " Vee said to me and Sami while we end up laughing at how much Vee hates school and that when I see my little cousin Flora walking up to us with coffee in her hands.

" Flora who gave you coffee on the first day of school." I ask her while Vee and Sami give her hugs

" Zander did since I kept begging him to take me to Starbucks for the past week now " Flora said with a smile on her face, I just look at her and smile so do Vee and Sami.

" Anyways Cupcake how was dinner last night I heard that your dad came back from his business trip " Sami said while leaning on her locker and eating a cookie she just pulled out her bag

" He did and it was good him and my mom couldn't stop hugging and Kissing each other it was cute." She said looking at Sami before taking a cookie from her and eating it while offering her some of her coffee which Sami does take a sip of

That's also when I hear someone making fake gagging noises behind me so I turned around and realized it was my brothers and the rest of are friends Xavier, Ryder as well as are cousin Zander .

" Oh, shut up it's not that gross you big baby's your just being dramatic "  Vee said looking at them with her arms crossed over each other

" Hearing how my ant and uncle were making out is something I didn't want to hear okay Vee " Mace says hugging her before taking Flora coffee and giving it to Zander

" Hey my coffee you jerks that's mine give it back " Flora says pouting at Mason before taking her coffee back from Zander

" Zander since you gave her back her coffee, you're gonna be the one dealing with her sugar crash today you know the rules whoever buys her coffee deals with her sugar crash " Mace says while eating a cookie Sami gave him

" It's cool as long as she happy and plus she's been asking for coffee for a week now how can I say no to her look how happy she." Zander says smiling at his little sister before taking a cookie from Sami then the bell rings so I tell them I'll see them at lunch and walk away with Vee and Jackson to are English class that we have together.

On are way to class I was talking to Jackson about how were going to throw the back to school party at are parents beach house because they won't be there.

So when someone bump into me and almost made me fall on my face if it wasn't for Vee grabbing my arm and helping me keep my balance so I wouldn't fall. When I look up to see who bump into me I see these gorgeous hazel eyes looking at me and before I can say anything he said something that made me hate those gorgeous eyes.

" Watch where you're going short Stack " he said with a slight smirk on his face before starting to walk away.

Okay first who does he think he is and second he bumped into me and I'm no short stack I'm 5,5 that's average height dick

" First, who the hell do you think you are and second I'm no short stack you asshole " I said while glaring at him with my arms crossed over my chest

That's when he stop walking and turns around to look at me. he looked me up and down and then he started walking closer to me.

When he stop in front of me and looks me in the eyes he say " Are you sure about that short Stack because to me your small but if you want to be taller I can add a couple of inches in you " with a smirk on his face like what he just said was the hottest thing in the world when reality it just made me pissed. I punched him in his face which hurt like a bitch.

" Oh shit " Nathan Hells and my brother says while Vee says. " That's what he gets for being a dick " which she's not wrong he did deserve me punching him in the face but before he can say anything I grab Jax and Vees hands an start walking to are class again before we're late and get in trouble I really don't feel like dealing with a teacher right now after dealing with this asshole
