I wake to someone banging on my door at seven in the morning.

Grumbling, I roll out of bed with my sheets around my shoulders and open the door.

Evelyn stands on the other side, bag on her shoulder, tapping her foot impatiently.

"It's so early Evelyn," I complained, pulling the sheets tighter around my body.

"I just wanted to know how it went last night on the drive home?" She swipes a stray of blue hair out of her face.

I groan. I don't need another hard on. Especially not this early.

Nora's anger got me so turned on, I'm secretly happy she didn't follow me inside last night or else she would've seen something that would get her even more mad.

"I flirted with her and she got mad."

Evelyn starts pacing in the hallway and I lean against the doorway with my eyes closed, trying not to fall asleep but wanting to.

She runs a hand through her hair. "She likes you."

"I hope," I mumble, trying to keep my eyes open.

She turns and paces the other way. "And you like her."

"Last time I checked."

"I'm trying to put you together. That's why Leigh and I rode with Reggie and Julia last night."

"Thank you, I appreciated that." She flicks my forehead and my head pops up. I didn't realize it had drooped down.

"And now Carson likes her."

That woke me up.

She smirks, "Yeah, I thought you noticed that last night."

I shoot her a look. "Shut up."

She raises her hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I'm just trying to help you out, my man. She's got a class in about an hour and then she plans to go to the gym afterwards. The one right off campus?" She snaps her fingers, trying to remember the name.

"Hiding the Gains?" I offer.

"Yes!"

"I actually got an email yesterday saying I was hired when I was parking my truck. My training is this afternoon."

"Oh great! You can see her there."

"Evelyn?"

"Yeah?"

"What am I supposed to say to her?" Hey, your roommate told me where you'd be and I thought I'd get a job here.

"I don't know, that's for you to figure out." She waves goodbye and runs down the stairs.

I grumble before shutting my door and stumbling back to bed.

The gym is great. Great people, great atmosphere.

They taught me how to work the computer at the front and when it was slow, they had me check in a few people. But otherwise I've been cleaning equipment.

My manager told me it was time to clock out so I did and then headed into the locker room to get a workout in.

And our discount is fantastic. Something I was looking forward to.

I pull up my workout routine in my notes and get to work.

After about twenty minutes, I'm drenched in sweat and get rid of my shirt. Holy shit it's hot in here.

I watch myself in the mirror, making sure my form is decent when I notice the girl next to me.

Thank you Evelyn, I owe you.
