"Vivamus, moriendum est."

You were in your room, putting down blankets and pillows on the ground creating a pillow fort, getting ready for a sleepover to watch the latest season of Demon Slayer. As being someone who read the manga, you were ecstatic when it got an anime adaptation. Looking around you thought, "Let's see here, blankets? Pillow fort? Sprite? Check, check, and check. Now snacks.. wait- I don't have snacks..? Damn." A sigh left your lips, eyes narrowing for a moment as a jolt of irritation ran through your body. Your right hand ran through your hair, messing it up a bit. But you really couldn't care as you took out your phone, and checked the time. It was 6:30 p.m., you still had time before the sleepover with Endor and Ephyra.

You wondered what to wear while on your trip to the nearest convenience store, walking through the apartment from the living room, down the little hallway that led to your bedroom, passing by your roommates room, hearing the subtle sounds of them playing a game behind their closed door. You entered your room, quietly walking up to the closet. A few moments passed before your hands reached in, grabbing the first clothes you saw which was a black t-shirt and black sweatpants. Simple enough.

After getting dressed, your eyes shifted over to the mirror, content with how you looked before picking up your wallet, keys, headphones and phone along with a taser and pepper spray stashing it into your pocket. Quickly looking over at your bed where Cloud, your cat was curled up and asleep on one of your pillows, basking in the light of the setting sun that came through one of the windows. A quiet coo could be heard from you while you scratched her head, a soft feeling washing over you before leaving and walking to the door of the apartment and opened it.

You stepped out into the apartment complex hallway, the soft warm glow of the lights and the faint smell of honey and vanilla greeting you as you closed and locked the door behind you before walking down the hallway to the elevator, stepping inside and pressing the button to the lobby. A few seconds pass while a random pop station played instead of the stereotypical elevator music. A familiar ding was duly noted before the doors opened, walking out and making way through the lobby, giving a small wave to the person at the main desk, before leaving through the doors. The sounds of the busy and lively city giving a comforting feeling as you descended the stairs and onto the sidewalk, and walking towards the nearest store.

After walking for a few minutes you arrived at a street, pushing the crosswalk button and waiting for the sign to turn white so you and the other pedestrians could the street. It was just you, a sweet elderly couple, a mother who was on her phone with her kid who was bouncing a ball that kept slipping out of their fingers.
