Her name was Joell. She was so beautiful. She had long, curly hair and glowing, sort of light brown skin. She had big beautiful brown eyes and an amazing smile. She was just so beautiful but she carried herself like she didn't even know it. She was walking to her class alone. She didn't really talk to people... She was always alone when I saw her. Suddenly I was taken out of my trance by someone hitting my arm repeatedly.
"Ayee! Jayy I know you hear me nigga we finna be late!" It was my best friend KD. She was standing there with a 'really nigga' look on her face. Me and KD been friends- best friends- since before I can remember. We're both studs, we grew up together, we came out to our parents together, and we've been through the every little up and down and we still have each other's backs.
Joell had gone to class already but I was still standing by my locker thinking about her. The tardy bell snapped me completely out of my thoughts.
"Maaann, see now we got four tardies. That's Saturday school bruhh." Pouted KD.
"Ah oops..." I said trying not to laugh. She glared at me.
"What was you thinkin that hard about and why was you starin at Joell like that?"
"Nothin... No reason." I shot back quickly, finally completely bouncing back from my trance. As we walked up to the table to get our tardies, there was a line so we waited. I was third in line behind KD when I felt somebody playing in my dreads. I turned around to see Leah standing behind me smiling. We had math together but had only talked a few times.
"Hey Jayy." She said still smiling. She was a beautiful brown skinned girl that was a few inches shorter than me. She was thick and had her dimples pierced and a tongue piercing. She was tatted too.
"Wassup ma." I said smiling and hugging her. I turned back around to get my tardy slip and before me and KD could leave, Leah caught up to me and gave me a folded piece of paper and a kiss on the cheek before walking away. I unfolded the piece of paper and on it was a phone number, an address, and the words: 'Math hw @ my house 2nite? ;)' I smirked and slid the paper in my pocket. KD had read the paper and seen Leah kiss me.
"Looks like somebody likes you." She smiled and nudged me. I just smiled and said shut up and kept walking to class. I thought about Joell once more but shook it off and went on to class.
