~Preston's POV~
"Vik, come on and get your ass up already!" Vik replied with a groan and sat upright, rubbing his eyes.
"Five.... More... Minutes," he managed to say, and his face collided with the pillow. Gosh darnit, why was he always so ignorant?! I guess I'd have to physically get him up myself... I wrapped my arms around his waist and yanked him up in a swift movement, as though I was holding a feather.
"Vik, you're so small!" Vik hated when I made fun of his height, but it was just how I had always shown my affection to him, I teased him.
"What the hell, babe?! You know how I hate being made fun of for my height." The Indian male stuck his bottom lip out and closed his eyes.
"But I'm just showing you that I love you. It's how I roll," all bad-boy style, I came up from behind him, wrapping my arms around his neck gently, careful not to choke him, and pecked his cheek lightly. Vik's cheeks turned a dark crimson as a smile appeared on his face.
"So... Why'd you awaken me from my slumber?"
"Well, Sleeping Beauty, I thought it would be nice for us to go out for a change. And considering there's an amusement park, a big one at that, around half an hour away, I decided that we should go," he became flustered, turning around and covering his face. I walked over and plopped down next to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
"Baby, it'll be fine." Rubbing circles across his spine usually helped comfort him, and this time was no exception.
"I know it'll be fine... I just don't know if I'm tall enough to ride what you want to ride..." Hysterically laughing, I responded. "You're tall enough, trust me. I think you probably grew a few inches from the last time you went to one... If not, we'll find something for you to go on... Okay?" I squeezed him tight and he spun around, nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck.
"Okay...." He stood up and walked into the washroom. When he walked out, I did the same.
*time skip to the actual carnival*
"We're here, Vikky!" I shook the male, who had slept on the ride here, awake. His eyes arose slowly, their coffee color shining in the sun. We hopped out of the car, Vik still somewhat relentless, and payed the admission fee at the front.
"That will be $18," the lady at the counter said, her pearly white teeth gleaming. We payed, and I grabbed Vik's hand, sprinting to the biggest roller coaster in the park, the Drop of Fear.
"Where are we going, Prestoooon?" Vik was barely walking, more like being pulled and dragged across the pavement.
"Oh, you'll see," I shot him a devilish grin as I began to sprint faster. The shorter male grasped onto my hand for dear life, as though it was his lifeline, as he was swept off his feet as I ran. Finally, at the other side of the park, we reached the coaster. In big letters, like the signs you see when crossing country borders, it said 'The Drop of Fear", followed by the voices of children, and adults, screaming as they zoomed downwards on the coaster. Vik started to sweat, taking several steps back and murmuring 'nope' over and over again. I mean, as far as I knew, he had liked roller coasters; I didn't realize he'd be this afraid to go on one like this. Even if so, I'd be next to him the whole time, my arm wrapped around him safely. If he threw up on me, I'd honestly not care. I just wanted him to share this experience with me.
"C'mon, babe, please," I tugged at his arm like a child, approaching the entrance step by step. "I thought you liked roller coasters, what's the deal now?" He didn't respond, so I just assumed he had given up, and he would go on this ride with me. I pulled him along, walking passed the sign and waiting in line. The line was terrible, but then again, it wasn't really that bad for the biggest coaster in the park, the one it's mainly known for. We waited for around an hour, Vik tapping his foot impatiently throughout the whole time, grumbling things like, 'How much longer?', and, his personal favorite, 'Can we go now?' I'd admit, I was kind of ticked off with his attitude, but at least, hopefully when we got on the ride, he'd be more enthusiastic.
Finally, the time had come, and the ride was within yards of us. We'd have maybe one or two group taken until we went, and my excitement went up. I placed my hands on Vik's shoulders and started jumping up and down. "IM. SO. EXCITEDDD!" The shorter male's expression did not change, except for a small smirk. We were finally up, we got on the coaster, buckling into the seats, but, when the operator came around to check, he unbuckled Vik and grabbed him by the wrist, only saying, "No."
"W-Wait, why?!" I got off with him and stood at the platform next to the coaster.
"Why, sir? We payed for our tickets and everything!" I exclaimed, my day being slightly ruined, but Vik seemed to be ecstatic.
"Well," he pulled out a ruler, "he is too short. To ride the Drop of Fear, you must be 5'4. This guy right here is 4'11."
(A/N: I'm exaggerating ok)
Suddenly, neither of us could stop laughing. That's why Vik didn't want to go on the ride; he knew he'd be too short!
I grabbed his hand, walking down the exit. "Let's go to the kiddie park you shorty," I rustled his hair as we walked over.
