Beginning

3rd Person's POV

It's been a while, and the situation outside kept on getting worse. No one knows how to stop this whole thing, or maybe those who know just can't say it.

Meanwhile, the girls spent their time practicing combat, and analyzing the journal they have. And so far, they've picked up necessary information about the creatures such as:

Sleeper/Walking Zombies - They are zombies that just recently turned. They are often seen just staying in their place or walking around, but as they're the newest to get turned, they are the most sensitive to noise.
Runner Zombies - Are zombies that have been turned for about a week. They are not as sensitive to noise but they have the ability to see. They're as aggressive as the smart zombies.
Smart Zombies - The most dangerous type of zombie, but is rare. They are a mix of Sleeper and Runner zombies also. Smart zombies are sensitive to noise and have vision, and are very aggressive when they chase you. But the most dangerous thing about this type is that its brain can still function a bit just like that of a human, which means that if you encounter this type of zombie, you are not safe from just hiding under a bed, on a bathroom stall, or anywhere that can expose yourself.
The amount of time before turning into a zombie depends on where you got bitten. If you get bitten on the vital part (neck) it will take about only 1-2 minutes before turning. If you get bitten on the arms and legs, it will take 30 minutes before turning. However, if you apply pressure (tying a handkerchief or cloth)to the wound, it will take an hour or two before turning.
Zombies will be instantly killed if it was hit on the head.

They also tried to locate the possible location of the laboratory or even the scientists that worked in the laboratory where the experiments took place, and while it seemed impossible, Yeojin and Chaewon might have gotten a possible location.

"This laboratory might be located in a nearby province. That province has a forest type of place, and I found out that a building was built in the middle of that forest, it has gates and fences and such. And look, you might say that it might be another building but I just recently saw something in that journal. It was like an address and I ended up in that same building." Yeojin explained.

"Well, it's worth a try. We could've just called the government for this information but oh well. You know how selfish they could get. I'm thinking if those scientists who worked at that laboratory have the same reason why they won't give details about that cure or if it's another reason." Haseul also added.

After Haseul spoke, two girls looked at each other, and one was looking worriedly at the other.

"But we can't possibly all go in there right? And it's not about being weak or a coward. It's risky if we have many people in there. We'll be easy to notice." Yeojin then asked.

"That, I already figured. Do you think four or five can go?" Jinsoul asked.

They all then unanimously voted for five people.

"I personally think Jinsoul, Yeojin, Heejin, Hyunjin, and Hyeju should go." Chaewon suggested.

"And why is that?" Vivi asked.

"Well, Yeojin basically has the location of the laboratory. She's also the person we can contact for updates or if something happens. Jinsoul unnie already knows everything in the journal and will keep everyone in check. And y'all might think we can't ever put Heejin and Hyunjin in one place, but I've noticed that these two can be a great pair in combat if we look at previous practices. Hyeju can also help Jinsoul unnie with strategizing and in combat. These five are a great lineup." Chaewon told all of them. They then agreed, and after confirming with the five, they already started to prepare.

"Ugh, I can't believe I'm gonna be stuck with you. Again." Heejin said to Hyunjin.

"We've always been stuck with each other. Might as well get used to it. Plus, didn't you hear Chaewon? She said we have chemistry with fighting!" Hyunjin replied. Heejin just rolled her eyes.

Heejin does have to admit that with all the time she's been with Hyunjin, she's gotten used to it. But Hyunjin does not need to know that.

On the other hand, Jinsoul, Chaewon, Jiwoo, Yeojin, and Hyeju gathered and talked.

"Are you sure you don't need the journal?" Jiwoo asked.

"It's fine. You can continue reading it, and if you ever notice something, you can still contact Yeojin." Jinsoul told her. Jiwoo just nodded in response.

"I really don't feel great about this, but it has to be done. Let's just hope nothing happens." Yeojin worriedly said, and the others told her it would be fine and nothing will happen.

"Still, we have to be very careful. If ever we have to separate, we should go in pairs or by three. we can't go by ourselves. But as much as possible, we have to stay together."

"Yes, Jinsoul unnie."

"All of you, please be careful. I don't think I can handle it if something happens."

"Don't worry, we'll be fine." Hyeju told her girlfriend, giving her a smile after assuring her.

After two days, the five got ready to leave, with the others still staying at Saeroms' house.

"All of you, please take care! Go back safely, I'm begging you five." Haseul said.

"Yeah, we will!!"

I AM SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN AGES.... I didn't have time because of school... But I am back now, I might post a few chapters before school starts again btw! And... things are finally getting spicy 👀👀 what do you think would happen next?
