Jinsoul's POV

Right now, it's exactly 7:00AM. Just an hour left before the school bells ring. By this time, I'm supposed to be walking to school already, since the school's kinda far from the apartment I'm living in. But guess what? I'm still laying down on my bed, with no plans on getting up.

Blame it on my Science teacher who told me that I'll be joining this quiz bee just yesterday. What's worse is that the said competition will be happening tomorrow.

So of course, not wanting to let anybody get disappointed in me, I had to read every single possible topic that might be included for the quiz bee. And it took me until past 1AM before I finished reading my books.

In short, I stayed up all night and I'm still sleepy.

But I know I can't stay like this for too long, so after about ten minutes, I got up from my bed and started preparing myself.

Once I'm done, I hurriedly went out of my place, not forgetting to lock it, then called an uber.

If I have to be honest, it's only my third? fourth? time going to school by uber. I always walk to school but because it's already... 7:45AM, walking would take me too long before I reach school. And I don't want to be late. Therefore, I have no choice but to call an uber.

I told the uber driver to drive to Blockberry High, which is obviously, my school.

The ride lasted for a few minutes, and once we reached the school, I immediately paid the driver and ran towards the school gates. Just in time.

First thing I see once I enter the school are students all over the place, some are talking, some are fighting, some are playing. A very normal scenario in this place.

I'm just curious why they're all in here when it's almost time for class.

Turns out there's no classes until later after lunch. Goddamnit.

But I still went towards our classroom anyway. It's not like I have anybody to talk to.

Somehow, if my very LOVELY cousin didn't drop out with her girlfriend (at some point I still understand the reason as to why, they literally got caught and got attacked for being gay so in order for them to have peace they have to home study.) I would be less lonely here.

The students doesn't want to talk to me either because they said I'm too 'intimidating' (no they don't know that me and Chaewon are cousins). Well guess what I don't want y'all to talk to me either. Homophobic bitches.

But even if there are other people like me in here, it's obvious that they're not allowed to expose themselves too.

Sometimes I just think why the fuck I went into this homophobic school when there are other schools that supports people like me so much.

Anyways, I stopped thinking about those things. So I just reviewed my lessons from yesterday, and due to too much focus, I didn't notice my adviser going inside the room.

"Jinsoul?"

"Wha- Oh. Miss Kim. Good morning!" I said, bowing after.

"Good thing you're here, Jinsoul. I need to talk to you."

"Oh... Sure, miss. Just give me a minute."

I then closed the book I was reading, fixed my glasses, and went towards Miss Kim.

"So what are we gonna talk about, Miss?"

"Nothing much. Just that the Journalism Club President asked me if it's okay for them to interview you, you do know that you recently won in the chess tournament right?"
