I'm back, finally with the next chapter! To be honest, I struggled a bit with it. I don't know how it happened, but it ended very differently than planned. I've changed it more times than I wanted to these days. So I have to admit that I don't know what to think of this chapter.

I really hope you all will like it!

I would also like to thank the followers, as well as for my first comment! It made me really happy and encourages me to keep writing! Unfortunately, as I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the content, it can more or less always take a while to finish a chapter.

Very important: In this chapter you will notice how bad the relationship between Mei and Kagome is. To all who love Kagome, please forgive me. For this story she will take the role of the villain for a certain time. You will find out the reason in these, as well as in the next chapters. Please bear with it!

Warning: Mention of death, brief mention of suicide, swearing (if I missed something, please let me know)

Have fun reading!

I love you all, even if you don't leave a comment. That you have interest and reading this means a lot to me <3

"Kagome, you're back!"

It seemed everyone woke up again as Sota started to move and ran to his sister. She quickly knelt down and spread her arms to take him there. She had missed him and she only really realizes that when she returns home. What's more, she had promised him something and if she was right, the day would be tomorrow.

"I'm back," she mumbled, leaning her head against his neck to hug him closer.

"I missed you too, but I can't breathe!"

Laughing, Kagome let go of her brother, who greedily gasped for oxygen and mock-glared at his sister. All of this was observed by two pairs of eyes. One of them was the cousin who looked at everything with a small and gentle smile. However, you could see from the corners of their mouths that they are slightly tilted down. The other pair belongs to none other than the half-demon who was keeping an eye on everyone.

He hates to admit it, but when someone asks him to do a job, he takes it seriously. Maybe it's because this person trusts him to do it and he wants to do his best. Which, of course, he would never admit. Up until now everything has been normal for him. The reunion of the siblings was all too familiar to him. Sometimes his thoughts wander to his half-brother and a cold shiver formed every time. Inuyasha could never imagine meeting him where he would fall into his arms to hug him. That would be his death sentence!

His yellow eyes, which have a tinge of gold, fell back on the girl who hadn't uttered a word yet. She had looked over at him maybe three times, but haven't made a sound. This confused and unsettled the hanyou a bit. A twitch, confusion, or questions, that's exactly what he would have been expected. Here, however, she stood calmly and made it seem like it was normal to have a half-demon standing in front of her house.

"I thought your school ends at 3:45?", Kagome asked, glancing up at Mei for a moment.

Inuyasha's ears twitched at her tone. It might have sounded normal to the others, but he could hardly ignore her light and dangerous undertone. He tensed his body automatically, not knowing what could happen in this situation. He wasn't stupid to figure out that this must be her cousin. But there was a scent in the air that wouldn't let go of him.
